When my company said we are no longer using Premier Inn for accommodation my heart sank, I was told we were to be booked into somewhere local to the job.
Upon arrival I felt very welcomed and the staff were great, the room was clean and the coffee and water supplied was welcomed.
Had great food and some great beers the BOCK especially. Had a good nights sleep with the bed being just a little too soft for me. Breakfast was very nice and loved the scrambled egg, look forward to returning in the future.
My only criticism is that on Monday when placing a food order I was informed that the specials had run out, Tuesday they hadn't been replaced and no extra specials put on. The food is great (try the parsnip and honey soup ! Stunning) but the menu could have I little more variety, maybe a pie?

Thanks

Very central with lovely food and welcome. This place is bigger than you initially think and there is an area away from teh pub to eat, which is good.

A consistently fine pub that serves a great choice of ales. We were pleased with the Timothy Taylor's ales this past summer. On top of that ,the food is cooked to perfection. Black board specials make the choices even more difficult to chose when both your favourites are on at once (I had to succumb to pork belly). Food is finely prepared and ample. But please, save room for dessert.....it is too good to skip! Try the beetroot and chocolate brownies when they are on the menu---divine!
