Came here for lunch/tea with my other half - we enjoyed the food here and we like to drink in this pub when we go out. However we do think the menu needs to have more choice, and they need to have some more simple food. Everything seemed to be very fussy which makes it harder to pick a meal as there’s more chance that you won’t like something on each dish.
Overall we enjoyed it and would return for food and drinks again
Booked one night in a twin room with my 17yr old daughter.Place way bigger than it looks outside. Staff lovely and helpful. Room warm and cosy and lots of extras in the room. Our room was over the bar and was a little noisy but when bar closed at 12 total silence. We ate in the restaurant and food all lovely and fresh cooked, prices reasonable.
Massive choice at breakfast. All in all very impressed and will definitely go back again. I recommend it as its also situated right in the middle of the town which is great for the Market and shopping.
Had a light meal hear , food was ok but a little drab ,the setting was good and staff very nice. Good full bar also
We held our wedding buffet here on 1st September 2017 and it was fantastic. It was a small family and friends gathering but nothing was too much trouble, the room looked fantastic and the food was plentiful and delicious. Communication by email during planning was great and our wishes were met. Special thanks to Cassy and Andrew.
We stayed the night in a very comfortable bed with every possible requirement of guests covered. Ample supplies of tea, hot chocolate, bottled water, biscuits and fantastic coffee. There was also a voucher for a drink in the bar. The bathroom was well supplied with towels and toiletries. The room was spotlessly clean and smelt wonderfully fresh. Breakfast was also very good with a wide selection of cooked food and a well stocked continental style buffet plus great coffee. All staff during our visit were friendly and helpful even when they were busy.
On the negative side we were disturbed in the night by people in the street going home rather noisily. But we had such a fantastic day and were so happy we didnt care!
Thank you everyone at the Woolly Sheep for making our wedding day so memorable. x
In a town where those that appreciate real ale are spoilt for choice with so many excellent pub; the Woolly Sheep stands out.
It's easy to find on the Main Street and has the full range of Keighleys Timothy Taylor real ales on hand pump.
The staff are friendly and the pub has a relaxed atmosphere. There is a nice area at the back to sit outside as well.
It's a great pub which is well worth a visit.
We have been here countless of times. In the very beginning we used to be delighted on visiting here... now even though we still enjoy I do feel it's lost the wow factor of the food.
We visited for lunch with our guests from canada. They love trying the fish and chips at every opportunity. I went on and on about the woolly sheep is a must on our visit to skipton. We all ordered the fish and chips... I must say they were very disappointed that the mushy peas were actually a purée!!! And they didn't taste of much either!! Apart from that still a pleasant experience but not somewhere I HAVE to visit on our regular trips to skipton now.
