Recently stayed at the Plough Inn. Booked one of the dog friendly rooms and it very well appointed, nicely furnished and had excellent access to the grounds for the dogs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant that evening- food was so-so and the dining room lacked atmosphere but it was ok overall. Breakfast was fine. The overall price we paid was very reasonable for the standard of accommodation.
Downsides - but outside the hotel's control- were the doors banging until quite late at night due to other inconsiderate guests, and then an early wake up caused by the unruly children running up and down the corridors from 7.15am as their parents presumably had a lie in..More
