What a pleasure it was to have stayed with Aisla and Tom at this lovely B&B on the southern outskirts of Cookstown. Location was perfect for day trips to the North, NE and East. We spent two nights at Avondale and rate it one of the best B&B's during our 12 days touring Iteland. Upstairs room was cosy and comfortable, despite a bed that was a bit firm for our liking. Ambience was warm and friendly. Aisla and Tom take obvious pride in their home - fastidiously clean and tidy. We enjoyed amiable conversations with both Aisla and Tom - Aisla being a keen craft person with amazing talent, with some of her craft work on sale in her home. Tom was an amazing craftsman in his own right, making beautiful violins in his spare time! And even giving us a demonstration of his fiddle playing skills. Food was great. Advice on places to eat in Cookstown were spot on. Aisla even did some laundry for us whilst we were away for the day. A truly relaxing stay and highly recommended.
