Kensington Lodge B&B
Ranked #3 of 6 Dungannon B&B and Inns
Reviewed 13 May 2013

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night as it was a good location and not too far from parkanaur manor house where our reception was. We could not believe the size of the bedroom we were given. It was massive , very clean, well appointed , the bathroom was also large and was great. The owner Trevor was very friendly and breakfast the next morning was lovely. We both would highly recommend this guesthouse and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We needed a room for an overnight stay after a friend's wedding nearby. I had got a recommendation for Kensington Lodge from a work colleague so we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! Our first impressions were of a well maintained property and I love the open wooden stairway to the guestrooms. We were shown to a large double room which had it's own sofa and television and and ensuite shower room. It was so spacious that we could have easily fitted another bed in it! The en suite was spotless and our bedlinen crisp and fresh. We had a very comfortable night's sleep. In the morning we were shown out to the sunroom to have our breakfast. It had lovely views out over the fields. There was a choice of several different cereals and mueslis and some fruit juices. We decided that the full Ulster fry was the only way to go! We were not disappointed with our eggs, bacon, sausages, potato and soda breads, pancakes and tomatoes washed down with freshly brewed tea or, in my husband's case, a cafetiere of fresh coffee. There is a lovely drawing room where we sat and read the Sunday papers after breakfast.
I enquired about any rental properties in the area large enough for a family as I have an extended family group coming over from the States to tour Northern Ireland. Trevor was keen to show me around the cottage next door and said that it would be ready for rental in a few weeks. He is just finishing refurbishing it. It is a good sized property with 3 bedrooms that will suit my family's needs perfectly.
I was very impressed by our stay in Kensington Lodge and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price in the Dungannon area.
