Stayed for 1 night recently for a business trip to Belfast. Nice interior in the hotel and the room was furnished to a very high standard. Heating seemed difficult to control, was November and the room was freezing. Hotel bar closed quite early, about 10.30pm. Breakfast was quite good, with a wide selection of self-service items.
Checkout was the only area I had a gripe with, I wanted to pay in euros as every other hotel I've stayed in Belfast hasn't had an issue with it. I asked if they would accept euros and the look from the receptionist was like I had asked her if they take monopoly money. It was made into a huge deal as she had to convert it into sterling, which took forever, (I had the calculation done in my head in 2 seconds), and basically had to go and ask about 5 other people's opinion on the currency conversion. Meanwhile the checkout queue was growing as she was the only person on reception. Very poor staff service on reception that morning. Okay for business trip but too far away from the city centre for any other kind of trip.
