The house is wonderful and highly recommended.
Location easily reached from both airports, Belfast not far as are the roads to all places of interest.
Maxine was very accommodating from start to finish and this meant we had faith immediately.
We settled in immediately and felt completely at home at Ashore Terrace.
The first evening we ate next door at Ownies which was recommended by Maxine and just a step away where we enjoyed an excellent convivial meal.
After shopping the next day (one is spoilt for choice of large stores just a short drive away ) we ate breakfasts and dinners at the house in the pleasant dining room next to the kitchen.
The house is spacious enough for six people to be completely at ease everywhere: in the dining room in the charming living room and in the three bedrooms.
The internet works very well by the way.
The house is tastefully decorated and has a very warm welcoming feel, it was great to chill out after dinner in the comfy lounge on the first floor with the evening light over the lough streaming in.
The house is situated very near to Carrickfergus Castle which is well worth a visit.
Ashore Terrace is a perfect base to explore the region, we had a wonderful holiday in Northern Ireland.
We would all return to this charming house without hesitation if we come back to this part of the world.
The house overlooked the seafront but was far enough from the coast road to be quiet. The photos in the advert made the property look good but when we arrived it looked even better. The house was very clean, tidy and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. All the shops we needed were within walking distance. Maxine, the owner, was very helpful and friendly. I normally like to add a few points for improvement to balance a review but on this occasion can't think of any negatives. Needless to say we had a brilliant stay.
Spent a weekend in Carrickfergus for a family party and booked Ashore Terrace for myself and five other family members. The house was great and allowed us to relax together in the large sunny lounge at the end of the night and was much more personal than a hotel. Would recommend highly.
When I arrived at the property I was made very welcome by the owner who showed me around the property. The property is very well decorated and has good views over Belfast Lough and is handy to the shops, train or bus and has all the facilities you would need. I would definitely book this property again.
Ashore Terrace in Carrickfergus is within easy reach of tourist attractions, Giants Causeway etc
There are also lots of historical sites in Carrickfergus within walking distance.
The house was lovely, very comfortable and spacious, home from home.
