“A Really Good B & B”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We stayed here for two nights. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Rae. Rooms are very clean and have all essentials provided (just in case you forget the toothbrush!). Wonderful showers. We met John at breakfast - a very pleasant man. And the breakfast - all you could want1
A really good breakfast. This is a great B & B and an example of how it should be done. This B & B beats many hotels for comfort, cleanliness and food. Well done, John an Rae.

We stayed at this B and B for one night after a wedding in Donegal. All the positive reviews are spot on. John and Rae are brilliant hosts making us feel welcome and offering tea and coffee on arrival. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was outstanding and set the day up perfectly for visiting the Giants Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Rae and John recommended a restaurant in the town called Tartine which was also lovely.

Having read so many good reviews written about this B&B, we booked to stay for four nights and did not regret it - the only slight disadvantage was not being able to pay with a credit or debit card. Thanks to the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality of the owners, John and Rae, we felt as though we were staying with friends. We were offered tea or coffee on arrival and told to make ourselves at home.
Surprisingly, the experience of breakfasting with other guests at the same table proved to be very pleasant, as conversation flowed effortlessly. John and Rae provided the best choices of food that we've ever had in a B&B; in addition to the fresh fruit, juice and cereals, we were offered a choice of a full cooked breakfast (excellent and very filling), salmon with scrambled eggs, or pancakes with maple syrup.
Not only does the little town boast good restaurants, but also two Chinese takeaways and an excellent fish-and-chip shop called Flash in the Pan. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All the rooms (there are three - two doubles and a twin) are quiet and spotlessly clean. The twin ro...

Spent two nights at the lovely Cottesmore B&B while touring the sights of the area. The location is excellent, walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town and the famous Bushmills distillery. Everything else is a short drive away.

Rae is a wonderful host, making us feel at home right away. The rooms are well designed, tastefully decorated, and everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were filling -- fresh fruit, cereals, toast, coffee or tea, juice, plus a hot cooked breakfast. You will not go hungry!

Dinner at Tartine was wonderful -- great recommendation by Rae.

Highly recommend staying here if you can. You will enjoy your visit!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely!

Beautiful B&B with good location in town centre of Bushmills.
Close to Bushmill distilleries and other attractions like Giants Causeway.
Very tastefull and comfortable rooms and great breakfast.

The only thing that botthered us was that when we wanted to pay in Euro's they take 15% extra.
Normal it was 75 GBP and exhanged it is 87 euro....we had to pay 105 euro! per room.
That was not Oke....so if you want to pay do it in pounds (no creditcards are accepted)

Room Tip: Its a little bit upgraded, we came on motorcycles and that was not wath they expected.

Couldn't have had a better first day and night on the Emerald Isle. Arrived Dublin at 7am and drove straight up to Bushmills. Arrived early afternoon way before check-in time and just happened to catch Rae who let us put our luggage into our rooms early so we can tour the area unencumbered. She recommended The French Rooms for lunch as well as provided us some valuable information on nearby attractions. Location wise, they are very convenient to the town and attractions. Literally walking distance to the distillery which we never got to tour.

After we returned from our afternoon out touring the area, Rae provided afternoon tea to our family which was delightful. We had booked 2 rooms and both were well setup, tidy and nicely decorated. The rooms were very quiet as well. We hadn't heard the other couple arrive that night.

Following morning, John and Rae served up a fantastic breakfast with a buffet of cereals, fruits and juices. We all opted for the full hot breakfast which we fully enjoyed. This stay was everything we could have hoped for!

We had a fantastic stay at Cottesmore! John and Rae were extremely hospitable and willing to share their knowledge of local attractions. The rooms were very clean and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Located within walking distance of the Old Bushmills Distillery and a short drive to Giant's Causeway, it is an ideal location if you want to see the Bushmills area.
