We arrived as the rain was lashing and a gale was blowing, to a lovely warm welcome from Denise. The room was cozy and spotless, and the sitting room was great too. Denise had plenty of good advice on where to eat out, and what to see, and after a long and bust day along the coast the comfortable beds were a godsend.
It was lovely to have a helpful host, and yet to have our own entrance (the B & B is an attached annex to the house) gave us privacy and independence.
I was visiting with my Dad (92) and it was the perfect place for him too. There are only two rooms (and the shared living room) so it is guaranteed to be quiet and peaceful.
Breakfast was delicious, and set us up for a day's exploring the area: Portstewart, Giant's Causeway, and the Bushmills Distillery.
I don't know how much the stay cost, as it was a gift from my lovely sister (Thanks Aislinn), but I can strongly recommend it. If you are lucky enough to find the Causeway Smithy on Groupon, snap it up!!
