awful - needs updating badly - very run down and neglected and needs a lot of TLC. It's obviously seen better days but the decor is old fashioned and the outside appearance sums up the hotel when you enter.

For my husband's birthday, I booked one night at The Chimney Corner Hotel. We had a lovely stay, the hotel is a little dated but very clean. Staff are polite & helpful. Dinner was delicious & reasonably priced. No complaints, we were very impressed. Over all a very relaxing & pleasant stay. We will be back! :)

Having been shocked by prices quoted in central Belfast, I came on this place at random on the Internet, and I'm pleased I did. £35 a night (not including breakfast) is excellent value for a clean room with TV, comfortable bed, tea and coffee and a trouser press. Only problem was the shower, a bit tepid if everyone else is using it. The bar is very friendly, and all the staff were great. The night club is at the other end from the accommodation and is only open Saturdays and there is a bit of noise from people getting into taxis, but nothing serious.

If you have a car the place is literally two minutes from the motorway. Public transport is OK, but the last bus from Belfast is at 1900, otherwise you have a 25 minute walk from Tesco's in Glengormley. A black taxi from the centre is £15, but the hotel will order you a minicab, which is about a tenner.

I will certainly stay here again next time I come to Northern Ireland.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back get less noise from motorway (which isn't noisy anyway if windows are shut).

Rooms are grand for what you pay, the décor is slightly dated but quite clean. Compared to the prices in Belfast itself this hotel is worth a stay, you would need to get a taxi into the city as there is no way you would walk to it. Ample parking around the front, I did get a little worried about my car when we got back that night as there is a nightclub attached to the hotel and there were a few lads hanging around (but I was probably being more paranoid about my southern reg). I would stay here again if I was returning to Belfast.

Stayed here last year with my boyfriend. Rooms are very clean and staff are very friendly. The food was also superb. Surrounding views are relaxing and great for a weekend away. Defo recommend and stay here in future.

we didnd understand why some bad reviews. We stayed for four nights in new years eve 2013. Clean, affordable, nice staff. A bit far from city center but the taxi its only 10£ and there's a bus station in front of it. My only complain will be ot has terrible wifi. No signal in our room and only a bit in reception. The breakfast is great butrestaurant was not always open, maybe because the season. If you are looking for a nice, clean hotel near beast this is it. Th rooms were nice and had everything tidy and clean.

This is a nice hotel, a little dated the bathroom was very 70s but clean. Breakfast was suberb and included a singing chef!!
Overall great value for money, Staff were pleasant, but perhaps a little more traing for the waiting staff in the restaurant might be a good idea, as the menu knowledge of the waitress was limited.

Room Tip: Bring your own shower gel and shampoo the sachets available are not really adequate
