Stayed for 2 nights as groupon deal - great location but hotel very disappointing. Would not go back - even for groupon price standard of room terrible. Feel they must give their worst rooms to those using groupon deal otherwise they would get no good reviews. Single glazed windows so noise of traffic could be heard all night , bed needs new mattress. Breakfast only good if you like a fry. On the plus side the steak dinner was very good.

Harry's Bar down the street does wonderful food.

Room Tip: Only way is to view - there must be nice rooms somewhere in this hotel unfortunately we didn't g...

Annex is house next door. Brown damp on walls. Not sure tourist board would qualify. £65 for dble bnb? Not after ballyrobin. No comparison. Breakfast well cooked. No choice. Poor presentation. Sort of place didnt want to spend anymore than already had. Disappointed. Great location and friendly staff. But choose a bnb rather than annex. Main hotel is dowdy and unloved. Great location for golf or coast or Glens of Antrim. Staff couldnt advise. Not their fault.

We booked a two night stay here using a groupon voucher and were very disappointed at the condition of the room we were given. The bathroom ceiling was covered in damp (see photos) and the room was absolutely freezing. The windows in our room were single glazed and very drafty which made the fact that the one radiator in the room didnt work very annoying! Im astonished that the hotel actually put anyone up in this room (room 22) as it is not really habitable. There is no furniture apart from a lumpy bed (with a duvet that is way too thin to keep you warm at night), just a few shelves to put your belongings on.

On the plus side the breakfasts at the hotel were very nice and the bar area was decent. Cushendall itself is a nice place and a good base to visit the surrounding area.

I cant help but think that the hotel put us up in their worst room because we had booked it using a groupon voucher. Surely not all the rooms are like ours otherwise the place would have been closed down years ago! But we definately wont be going back and would have been absolutely outraged if we had paid the full price for our stay.

This was booked on a Groupon deal - we wanted somewhere for 2 nights to do the coast and its attractions- Causeway, Rope Bridge,Bushmills Distillery and of course the coastline - all well worth the visit! The hotel is from a bygone era - rather tired but great staff, jolly atmosphere and clean - no frills! - but adequate. The breakfasts were good and the evening meal we had as part of the deal was superb. The other meal we had was a bar meal and not so great but acceptable. For the purpose that we had booked it we found it OK but would not recommend if you are wanting anything more than a clean bed for the night. At the price we paid it was reasonable value.

telephoned night before book in at 9.30pm by hotel manager and was informed we would be staying in Annexx, I had been informed by a friend that Annexx was not fit for purpose. I had a heated discussion with manager and was so close to cancelling. In the end we spent first night in Annexx, absolutely horrible, cold, noisy, no curtains 2 single and a double bed in such a small space, I had two children an 11 year old and a 20 month. sink in bedroom, shower and toilet in such a small space, a budgie would have more room!! no bath so totally unacceptable for a young baby. must say second day much better, a nicer room inside hotel with a sub room for the children. lovely bar and food excellent, staff friendly. I appreciate economic times are at an all time low but the Annexx is totally unacceptable for a family, in serious need of modernising. This hotel has so much potential with the superb food and lovely staff.

Room Tip: Dont stay in Annexx

This beautiful, cozy family feel hotel provided us & 2 pals an amazing 4 day break over New Year. As soon as we arrived we felt welcome & nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are basic but have everything you need & clean which for me is the most important. The atmosphere in the hotel & hotel bar was great at what ever time of the day or night. Finally but by no means leased - the food - I have never experienced the freshly cooked steaks like it in my life. The chicken coupons are breasts of chicken coated in bread crumbs not from a packet. The CHIPS are made from potatoes!!! Yep not frozen packets. Hopefully we will get back soon as it was a great base to see all the wonderful beauty of Northern Ireland. Thank you

stayed for one night at the Glens hotel. Had a lovely meal and found staff very friendly. Phoned hotel as did not have access to computer and they did us a deal for 99 pounds. One night bed and breakfast plus a four course meal for two. not bad for a Saturday night in December. Only down side was room was sooo small it verged on claustraphobic but as we were falling into bed at 4am it didnt matter. Hubby had a lovely breakfast next morning but I only eat grapefruit and prunes. Both were not available. Dont know what the 10 pounds refundable for the remote control is all about as you can buy a universal one in any pound shop.Overall lovely time but would not pay 85 pounds for bed and breakfast.

Room Tip: No lifts. Three floors.
