A rare chance to experience music, poems and stories ....

Most Saturday nights, people gather here to share stories and songs.

It's not a tourist attraction ...... but a gathering of locals who are sharing their music.

Wonderful experience for those happy to 'go with the flow' ..... experience Irish entertainment naturally ...... it isn't a 'tourist attraction' .... show doesn't 'start at 8 pm' .

If you are relaxed enough to come along & see .... magic, may, or may not happen ....
If you have a song you can sing / poem you can recite ... you are welcome to become part of the magic !!!

Accommodation available on site.

Three of us stayed 4 nights with Liz at the apartment upstairs. We were quite comfortable, and enjoyed many days of sightseeing tours coordinated by our hostess. The accommodations were nice, the views awesome, and the visits by the red squirrel and sheep were fun to watch from our window. The Saturday night session was inspiring with locals and guests providing and entertaining evening of storytelling and music. I would recommend the barn, it is close to town, yet in the country, close to the Irish sea and sightseeing spots. Living the history of Ireland was my favorite part of this trip, and staying at the barn made it a lot easier!

Room tip: Check out the apartment if you are a family traveling

A lovely place in a great setting, with a unique hostess who provides excellent food and entertainment. There's plenty of parking space as well and handy trails and hikes to meander around. A mixture of individual rooms and dormitory style sleeping and a very 'at home' atmosphere.

We had a wonderful time with Liz and company at the Barn. Liz is not only a collector of stories, but also a collector of very interesting and warm people. We were invited to a fund raiser for the Red Squirrel Preservation Society, and had a great session in the barn on Saturday night. We had great craic, and really felt a part of the community. The loft was a super spot for me and my wife, with full access to the kitchen.
