Olive, James and family make you feel extremely welcome, nothing is to much trouble.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the home cooking and baking compliments everything else the Cullentra has to offer.

We thought that Cullentra House was going to be a good experience until we were accused of damaging a garden flood light. There was existing damage to our rental car which we and the rental company knew about and this must have lead to the belief that we had caused the flood light damage. However, other guests came in late after wedding receptions that involved alcohol but instead, we were singled out as American drivers. Later we found out that 200 USD were missing from my wallet, and my friend was missing 100 USD. We had reconciled our finances prior to arriving at the B and B and knew how much money we had. We discovered the loss after returning to the US. In light of this awful experience, we cannot recommend this B and B. It was a huge disappointment.

I am sorry to hear that these guests felt it necessary to write this report in an effort to discredit our business. On leaving Cullentra House on the first morning of a two night stay these guests drove over a floodlight in the garden causing over £100 of damage. Other guests witnessed the incident and reported it to us. On their return that evening I explained to them what had happened and I could also see considerable damage on their car. At no point did I ask for compensation but the lady immediately launched an attack insinuating that perhaps the guest who reported the incident was the real culprit. I decided to leave things as they were and not pursue the matter any further.
This lady was intent on getting even with regard to the alleged incident by making accusations that money was missing. This could have happened anywhere as she was supposedly unaware of money missing until she arrived back home in America.
It amazes me as to the lengths some people will go to in an effort to damage someone's reputation in particular when I go the extra mile to make all our guests welcome allowing them to experience the true hospitality on offer in N. Ireland. I am deeply disappointed and hurt by these so called accusations but as can be seen from other reviews these type of people are in the minority.

We arrived at Cullentra House after a long drive and were greeted by the lovely Olive with a hot cup of tea and cakes - exactly what we needed. The Cullentra House was perfect in every way and Olive and James were the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. The views were fantastic and we were provided with information of places to eat by Olive and James and we were not disappointed. Everything about the Cullentra House was absolutely perfect for us, from the accommodation to the beautiful panoramic vistas. We regularly visit Cushendall and will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The family room was spacious and very clean

I loved this B&B! Olive met us, showed us to our rooms, and provided hot tea and cake. She was very warm and cheerful. We were interested in seeing the Dark Hedges, so she gave us some tips and also provided a large binder with tourist info. She also had some hints about where to go for a piece of pie/crumble or other treats. The setting of the Cullentra House is charming and peaceful. The living room is open, comfortable, and relaxing. A blazing fire going!
The setting is modern, clean, and well furnished. A cute tray with all the fixings for tea in the rooms. The only B&B to provide a washcloth, which was a welcome, unexpected touch. Big, soft towels! A very comfy bed. A wide array of tourist info, including a couple DVDs on local attractions, and some handy maps. We sat on the big couch and planned out our next day, plugging things into our GPS.
Breakfast was an Ulster Fry and I discovered I like brown sauce!
I really wished we could have stayed longer. We felt so welcome and cared for. Everything we needed was provided. I would recommend and I would come again!

My husband I and two friends stayed here for 5 days for the Irish Open at Portrush. We were greeted by Olive and Jim with Tea/coffee, homemade cake and biscuits their hospitality was second to none. Olive gave us one of her fruit loaves to take with us to the golf which was really appreciated and also one to take home - thank you Olive. Jim also ferried us to and fro Harry's fish restuarant this was delicious. Rooms were impeccably clean with fresh towels every day. This was our first experience bed and breakfasting and our first time in Ireland and cannot recommend it more highly except for the rain.

My husband and I stayed here for the Irish open in portrush, we stayed for two nights. Olive and James are fantastic hosts. When we arrived we were offered tea/coffee and cakes, our room was beautiful and so comfy.
The service this couple offer is out standing and they are very aware of all your needs, they recommended the golf club in cushendall for dinner and it was amazing they even drove us there and picked us up on both evenings.
I have recommended their lovely home to family and friends.
We have booked our return trip in August for three nights (cant wait)
