Lovely little restaurant, pizza and sticky toffee pudding were amazing! Fish and chips were also excellent; very good value for money. Perhaps some background music would have added some atmosphere but overall brilliant and would definitely come again!

We were resigned to having to eat at Harry's, having researched restaurants in Cushendall and drawn almost a blank. While strolling around the lovely village, we saw The Pepper Mill right on the corner in the main street. Thinking it was closed we had a look at the menu, just to see what we were missing. What we found was a straightforward menu offering takeaway type food at reasonable prices. To our surprise the restaurant was open - just no-one dining. A snap decision later and we were seated in very 1980's ambience, waiting to be served pizza and fish and chips. Marvellous food, freshly prepared and copious quantities came out quite quickly. A very good choice we thought.

Our second night in Cushendall, and having looked at the other eateries, including the hotel and Harry's, we decided to dine again at The Pepper Mill. Again very hot, fresh and tasty food arrived in such quantity we left almost unable to walk!

If you're tired of restaurants that appear to have gained an unjust reputation, or just want some hearty, relatively plain food, then The Pepper Mill definitely fits the bill.

We didn't eat at Harry's in the end.

While I appreciated the heater being on, it sounded like someone was idling a huge semi-tractor trailer in the room. There was a fake fire in the fireplace that gave off no heat. The food was good, though there was so much sauce on the prawn rose marie sandwich that they practically swam away! The sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was heavenly!

Friday night and the fridge was empty, so the four of us went in search of somewhere we could all get something to eat that we would like, we ended up in the Peppermill and now Im wondering why we never ate in before?

The Peppermill is a family friendly restaurant/ cafe in Cushendall and it has a great takeaway as well. The beauty of the restaurant is you can bring your own bottle which means you dont have to worry about the bill being too pricey especially if you are a large group or coming close to the end of the month.

We ordered the pizza and can honestly say they are the best we have tasted in Ireland to date.
As my 10yr old said "mmmmm these taste real italian" The meals were filling and the food tasted lovely.

I recommend this for families and for pizza lovers, if you live in Cushendall or are passing through, stop in and give it a go.
