“3 star hotel with 4 star staff and a 5 star breakfast.”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 via mobile

Why has Portrush not got a 4 or 5 star hotel? The Ramada a good 3 star appears to the best hotel in town. There is convenient on site parking with easy access to the hotel, the welcome at reception was warm and professional and the hotel is very well positioned in the town. Our room was of a good standard for a 3 star comfortable and adequate and made for a good nights sleep. We didn't dine in the hotel but we did take breakfast which was excellent. Quality food cooked in small batches the potato bread and scrambled eggs stood out. If you are visiting Portrush or hitting the waves or golf start with breakfast in the Ramada you couldn't beat it!

To start with there is v bad excess to the hotel, no duped on foot path outside the hotel, for the bus to let passenger's of the bus. Having been told the hotel was wheelchair friendly. The was not the case, when we did get in to the hotel, there was no downstairs bedrooms. The lift to the rooms was a joke. Held one wheelchair and at a squeeze one other person standing. When we came out of the lift we went by our mistake down wrong corridor had to weel back ways up the corridor as it was to narrow to turn round in. The room was as I recall a good size. The bathroom was not wheelchair friendly. Shower over the bath, and couldn't close the door into the bathroom as it opened in ways and my chair is by no way that wide. We were having a meal , our table was booked, the table was up go steps, so ths bar man and staff had to help take the two wheelchairs up the steps, the meal was fine. But topthe hole thing of, when we were finished our meal, sitting round the table having a chat, we were asked if would mind if the two wheelchairs were taken down shaff was going home. Well where do you go from there.? "to your bed"

For a relaxing , very inexpensive , tea time treat or supper try the Ramada between 5 & 7 for their high tea menu . It is not only varied but value for money , the staff are very pleasant and eager to help and for less than £11 why not enjoy and nice bottle of Italian chardonay. We had 2 meals with an extra side and wine for £30 and it was super

Lovely outlook from restaurant, friendly atmosphere indoors. Reasonable priced menu with a fairly good selection to choose from. Staff attentive and the place is kept clean and tidy. Public toilets also clean and regularly inspected.

This was our second time at the Ramada as it was so good at Christmas that we just had to return for our end of term night out. Joanne was so easy to work with and nothing was too much trouble. There was so much attention to detail, the menu choice was excellent and the food superb. Thank you to Joanne and all her staff.

Stayed here for one night in June and have no complaints about this hotel. Lovely clean room with a sea view. Staff very helpful, breakfast good, and we had an evening meal in restaurant which was also good. Special thank you our waiter who was very attentive on the evening.
The weather was great which made our stay fantastic and realise what a beautiful place Portrush is.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and we most certainly will stay there again.

Room Tip: Room with a sea view
