“Interesting Castle”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

The castle is perched on the edge of a beautiful piece of coastline, and some of it is very well preserved. Unfortunately on the day we visited there was an electricity failure and the audio system was not working, however there are plenty of information boards, and a trail for children.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

This is a reasonably priced attraction ( better see it before national trust realizes they could exploit this attraction). You can explore around the grounds which includes steps down underneath a portion of the castle without dropping any money. Entrance fee gets you into the castle walls, there is a fair amount of newer construction inside to give a more complete vision of structure but I didn't find it so distracting to make it unbearable. There is a GREAT coffee shop above the castle that make a great chai tea. Don't miss the ancient cemetery across the road. We walked around the chapel ruin and the gravesites are OLD and worth the stroll. Absolutely free

“So full of history”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Wonderful little detour to take a walk back in time. Definetly worth joining the guided tour to hear the history of the castle, the purpose of each of the rooms, and interesting stories about the area. Highly recommend!

“great tour guide”

probably the best tour guide of our three week trip.Very funny and knowledgeable fellow. Gave detailed answers to questions and was patient with slower walkers and people stopping to take lots of photos.

Dunluce is a must see. Stunning views on drive there. Amazing views of the cliffs and ocean from the ruins. Try to go on a clear day.
