Just got back in from a near four-hour on-water experience, the likes of which I've never before experienced. We sailed to Rathlin Island in what were at least four metre waves and a swell which would have given the Titanic grief! The entire group of a dozen tourists (including three aged under 13) survived a remarkable display of seamanship as the skipper (who's also tour guide, owner/operator, and all round great guy) took us out to Rathlin via the Giants' Causeway, and then back, in what were ferocious conditions. The 75-minute return voyage had us crashing the RIB into troughs from great heights as we breached waves from the north Atlantic which didn't want us to forget the experience soon. Most of us were soaked through to the skin! But no one complained; you don't go on the water not expecting to get a little exposed to water. This is fantastic value and a superb experience: it's the highlight of our Irish trip thus far.
