This is a fantastic place to stay :) travelling with children it is clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are welcoming and the hostel has a family feel. We stayed in a large family room and also the apartment both of which we're spacious and comfortable. There are great kitchen facilities and a self service breakfast included in the price. It is located minutes walk from two fab beaches and with Andy and Frankie on hand to advise about places to visit and things to do I cannot recommend it highly enough.

There are also lots of reasonably priced restaurants close-by worth trying :)

Room Tip: Choose to suit your party size - all are clean and comfy

This is a perfect solution for travelling with lots of people (we were six plus a toddler). The youngsters had a dorm to themselves and we had a family room and access to four shared shower rooms and two toilets (I only had to wait once for about 30 seconds). This still ends up being way cheaper than B&B and the place is very pretty. Whitewashed rooms, white sheets, white furniture alongside beach pictures. There is a great kitchen (very handy for families) and a comfy living room for hanging out in. It is close to everything including the owners who also run the surf shop on the corner.

Portrush itself was a very pleasant surprise, great restaurants, lots to do (really beautiful beach), nice shops and a good coffee shop!

Really nice place to stay. It is in the centre and the stuff is helpful. First we check in Clarmont Guest House but after we complained about the room because it was 80 GBP with horrible view at the backyard we were thrown out like garbage and told us to never come back again.

You can imagine that on a Saturday all is booked but luckily we found this hostel and the owner was very helpful as well so he made our day. Wish him all the best and we definitely will come back again when we have the chance. All the best to you Andrew :)

The giants causeway brought us to the north of Ireland - and the possibility to go by train to the coast to Portrush!
We were really happy about the tonwhouse as a hostel - we loved the style, the comfort and atmosphere and therefore highly recommend it!
The hostel is in a small house so the rooms vary in size - from two bed rooms up to one apartment you can choose what you prefer. Service is allways helpfull and more than friendly! Toilets and bathrooms are really clean and there are enough, so we never had to queue. Breakfast is nothing special (some fruit would really be a great addition) but ok and standard.

Really good find - Affordable Central Portrush accommodation. 'Hostel' doesn't do it justice really. All rooms super clean and nicely decorated, clean crisp white bedding etc. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. We were 13 blokes staying in 2 dorm rooms mid way through a cycling trip around NI, and everyone well refreshed in the morning. Nice kitchen area downstairs with some items for guests provided (tea, coffee, bread, jam, ceareal etc.). They also had a secure place to store the bikes.

What can I say, I thought this was going to be your average hostel in an average seaside town but that couldn't be further from the truth.
This beautiful building houses quality rooms which have been finished to a very high standard by two people who obviously love what they are doing and have put in the time and effort to create a lovely relaxing environment for their guests. Add that together with knowledgable hosts, fun and friendly staff and a great beach on your doorstep and you have a pretty perfect weekend break already planned.
Portrush has some great spots to eat and drink and Andy knew just where to send us for some quality grub and the surfing lessons organised by Troggs Surf School were great craic. We will definitely be repeating this trip again and I am really looking forward to my next surf lesson.
Thanks Andy.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely so I don't think you will be disappointed.

Ballymena Mini trip with parents and kids over 2 nights.

Accommodation is fantastic for a group of this size (36) and lots of room so all could have a great weekend.

Fantastic area at rear for BBQ's and close to all Portrush has to offer.

Frankie and Andy are suburb with true northern coast warmth and spirit!

Fully stocked with breakfast goodies and kitchen which would facilitate many more. Added benefit that I bought my first stick in this room 20 years back!!!

Decor akin to that of a boutique hotel with Conran flavour.

Great spot of a small family group to big group.

Go and enjoy!!!
