“What a view!!”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

Well its a climb to get to the Tower and its an even greater climb inside ... to be fair its was worth it.
The exhibitions were poor and the staff disinterested.
With some imagination and creativity this place could be class in every way.

“Beautiful views and walk through forest but tower closed”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Great views from this famous landmark in Newtownards. However, the tower itself is currently closed due to health and safety issues re water. It is about half a mile of a climb but when you get there you can see great views of Scotland, the mountains of Mourne in Newcastle, Strangford Lough and even the Isle of Man. Many local artists have painted the tower and surrounding areas. well worth a trip. There is no word of when the tower itself will be open again to visitors.

“Beautiful views.”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Well worth the half mile uphill trek to the tower for the views down Stranford Lough and over Newtownards.Climb the tower to see over Belfast, and off to Scotland and the Isle Of Man,or the Mountains Of Mourne.Inside the tower are displays of local history, including the history of quarrying Scrabo stone from the hill, with interesting walks through the old workings of the quarry below the tower worth a wander for those fit enough.
