Probably our fault for bad timing but when we visited the only thing that was open was the kiosk where you pay!

Easy walking up to the top dam. Great little museum on site, well worth a visit.
The park is well kept and clean.

“interesting”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Attended Silent Valley with my Fiance and friend following a visit to Newcastle. It was a very interesting place and educational too. There is a play park there for the children and the big kids too. Also, there is a small assault course which suits everybody, it is very good for team work and of course the fitness people too. Myself and friend ran up the hill to the Dam which I must say was steep. There are many different trails in which you can follow, all of which have lovely views of the mountains. Everybody would enjoy this place.

“A must visit”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Great venue for young and old alike. A great adventure area for the children and several walks either level or you can choose to take the hilly walk. The view from both dams are fantastic but make sure you have your camera with you.

“Fantastic Achievement”
Reviewed 8 September 2013

The view over the Mourne's from the Dam Wall is lovely. We also enjoyed the nature trail and all the ducklings which had recently hatched. We spent over half a day here and could have spent longer to go further afield to have better views. The walls were an incredible feat. The cafe was full and we had to wait a short time to get a table inside as it was drizzling outside.
It would have been better if the information leaflets handed out give the names of the mountains you see from the dam wall and on the routes you can follow.
