Took my mum there on Mother's Day along with my family, we did have to wait at the bar for a shirt while as it was quite busy, being Mother's Day and also a birthday party in the resturant. We all had the 3 course meal, great value at £19.95 (sure beats Belfast prices), had selection of starters and main meals, everyone was pleased with their meal. Just enough to fill without leaving one over full. Owner was very friendly and was very nice to my mum. Staff were attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend and could not relate to some of the negative feedback left for this resturant.

Called for lunch St. Patricks day. service good and shown to table promptly. Food ordered was bland, Soup tasted out of a tin, Veg not fresh & not properly washed, Cauliflower tasted of fish. Sorry i ever called, stomach hasnt been right since, used to be a regular a couple of years back, place has had a makeover but now expensive for poor food, wouldnt go back.

Visited the halfway last week on the way back from Dublin. A quick bite ended up being a fantastic three course meal after amazing recommendations by our lovely waitress. Our expectations were typical pub grub, but ended up having a great evening with an extensive menu to choose from and memorable staff. Can't wait to go again without the kids!

An excellent place to eat, both at lunch and in the evening. I have never had bad food here and the garlic potatoes are just about the best I have had anywhere.
Very friendly staff and the place is comfortable with a welcoming fire which sets off the dining area. The menu has changed since we last visited but the quality is the same.
Highly recommended.

Probably the worst meal and service I have ever had barr none! Food cold, order taken incorrectly, staff unpleasant and owner could'nt care less! I will never be back to this place, a complete let down and waist of money!
