Myself and my partner have stayed at the Bannville a few times and never have a complaint about the place!!! the staff are friendly and no request is too much for them!!! we were celebrating our anniversary when we stayed and the staff made such a fuss of us... it was great!!! the rooms are really spacious and kept very clean and the food is absolutely gorgeous with a great variety of evening specials to choose from. We will definitely be back and cant wait to try out their new night club Valhalla this Saturday!!! Great hotel guys keep up the good work!!!

spent 4 nights in Bannville House Hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Had one evening meal in the hotel and it was really lovely. Breakfasts were adequate . The only problem we had were the beds, not very comfortable. Would definately go back.

My husband and i booked a 2 day bed and breakfast and one evening meal break for our 11th wedding anniversary. On the day of booking we requested a double room, but when we got there we were put into a twin room, we didn't want to make a fuss so we just pushed the twin single beds together. The bedroom was quite spacious, when i went into the bathroom there was a dead spider on a cobweb beside the bath, there was cobwebs in the corners of the bathroom. The tiles were the bath was had black mould where the grouting was, it was horrible that i couldn't take a bath or shower, i just washed at the sink! My husband tried the hairdryer but had to turn it of quickly as it glowed bright red and smoke came from it, i rang reception and they said they would send a maintenance man down, 20 minutes later the maintenance man arrived, i told him what had happened, he didn't turn the hairdryer on, just left it down and went and brought another one, the thing is the dangerous hairdryer was wired into the wall and he left it there.....The Saturday morning after two nights uncomfortable sleep as the beds where terrible and pillows felt like sleeping on concrete which gave me a headache,we went for our breakfast before we went home, i asked for beans which came out stone cold and the mushrooms came out 20 minutes after the breakfast was served........Although i have to say the staff was very friendly, my husband and i will not be back there!!

Having visited this excuse for a restaurant recommended to me by my boss I will never be back here again. Me and my partner decided to give it a go, having sat down for 20 mins we finally got our order taken which was for mains only,we sat for another 30 mins plus still no food so we got up and left, no staff had even come near us to apologise for the wait even the couple beside us had commented on how long we had been waiting, not to mention another couple had came in 10 mins behind us and they had nearly finished their meal was not one bit impressed. Also the tables were stinking staff didnt seem to have a clue what they were doing just a complete sham, couldnt run a pee up in a brewery

On our arrival, after our wedding, we checked into the bridal suite. The night porter was very unwelcoming. He quickly ran off some directions to our room and left us to find it ourselves. When we got into the room the bed felt like it was going to fall apart and mattress was awful. After a rough nights sleep and breakfast that we ordered to be in the room for half ten (the night porter told us kitchen closed at 11) being half an hour late (although it was great) and we were thinking the kitchen would close before we got anything.
On check out we mentioned to the lady at reception about all this and she said this shouldn't have happened but nothing was done to rectify this.
We feel that customer service was lacking and the room for the price we charged was not up to standard.

Room Tip: a basic hotel, not recommended for special occasions

Decided to go here on a Sunday afternoon (14th July) for their Carvery, must say it was very disappointing. The reception staff and floor staff were excellent though regarding friendliness and service however the food quality was another story. Would have loved to try the ham however it looked a bit dry and drab so went for the roast beef and turkey and my guest had roast beef and pork both with all the trimmings. The young chef who served us did not inspire confidence and I'm sure maybe another career should be considered before he loses a finger or two with his sharp knife.
Being a Carvery we had a good choice of vegetables and potatoes however the whole meal was luke warm. It has been a few years since we dined here and I hope it will be a few years before we are back.
