Called in today for a meal about 5.30 and we're told that a afternoon tea dinner was available ,we accepted the offer and checked out the menu, the choice was for either starter and main or main and dessert for only £11.95.i took the steak which arrived quickly and was well presented ,the food was lovely and the dessert were to die for and would recommend this restaurant .

Thankyou for taking the time to post a review. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed our Tea Time Treat Menu, it is a very popular choice with our customers Monday - Thursday. The desserts you enjoyed are our new selection for our summer menu, so it is good to hear they are a success. Thankyou and hope to see you again.

We recently stayed for two more nights, from arrival to check out everything was perfect again. The staff know how we like our room set up and nothing is too much trouble, even to printing boarding passes for us (thank you Jane, very much appreciated).

The food is always lovely, from a hearty breakfast to a leisurely lunch and filling sandwich in the evening. On our first evening we were tempted to have a dessert and boy it was massive, but very, very delicious, we were still full the next day!

Looking forward to returning later in the year.

this hotel was recommended to us by a friend who has stayed there, we checked it out for our birthdays a week apart in january past. it was fantastic. we had stayed in the bridal suite for a weekend and it was beautiful
but queen size bed, very modern, tv good storage and the marble suit and jacuzzi tub was to die for.
very warm in the room and soft carpet, very clean and had everything you could ask for.
room service was a bit expensive, £17 for 4 vodkas and 2 cokes but as we were celebrating we didnt mind.
we paid £278 for two nights all bed and breakfast and 2 four course meals. it was great value and we found it very worth it

the food was just beautiful. i had the 'leek and beak' and omg it was the nicest meal i have every had, the staff were helpful and friendly and its location was quiet and the town centre just 5 mins and £4 in a taxi ride away. we are going back for a weekend for our anniversary.

will be looking forward to going back!

Room Tip: its all good!

This is a good hotel with management and staff attending to your needs in a friendly and efficient way. It was very busy on the night I arrived and only two tables left in such a spacious area. The customers were to a large part on first name terms with the staff which probably means if not a local crowd a returning clientele in the restaurant. Very homely. If you are eating I suggest more traditional type food like a good steak. I had a parma ham-alioli lamb burger type creation that sounded better than it tasted, just too many strong flavours. I did hear the lamb shank was the way to go and others rave about the food.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am delighted to read you found our staff friendly and efficient. It is a shame you did not enjoy your dish from our Chef's Specials Menu, perhaps if you visit us again you can try our 12 oz sirloin or our very popular lamb shank dish. We do hope you will visit us again soon.

As a delegate to the All Ireland Probus Rally I would like to commend the hotel and its lovely staff for an excellent 2 day stay. The evening reception with wine and plentiful savoury and sweet canapés served by alert and cheerful staff was most enjoyable. Coping with lunch for almost 400 seemed to present no problems and we had a very good meal served promptly by smiling helpful staff. From our arrival at reception to help with our luggage as we left we were looked after with courtesy and attention to detail. A most enjoyable stay.

As secretary of an old vehicle club I was asked to book accommodation for 28 of our members in the North Coast area for the Bank Holiday weekend. After many phone calls to various hotels in the area I decided to plump for the Lodge Hotel, Coleraine as they were offering excellent value for the two day stay, had a very professional and helpful attitude on the phone.
As you can imagine taking on the task of organising such an event can be very hit or miss but my decision to pick the Lodge proved to be an excellent choice as none of our members who made the trip could find fault with it.On the lead up to our stay the staff I spoke to on the reception were very helpful and were always able to solve any problem I presented them with in a very friendly and professional manner. They promised that we could have a dedicated parking space for our 13 old cars and, true to their word, when we arrived in a very busy car park ; because of a wedding; there was an area cordoned off for our use.Booking in was a breeze and the rooms which we were allocated in the annex were large, bright and well maintained. Our party was also promised a room where we could dine together during our stay and again this promise was fulfilled with a very efficient and friendly staff catering for all our needs. The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meals - and special mention should be made of the carvery on the Sunday night which was far beyond our expectations with an unbelievable array of food on offer which catered for all tastes. As you can gather from my comments the hotel certainly outshone its 3 star status and everyone in our party had nothing but praise for the hospitality we were shown by ALL the hotel staff we came into contact with. It is a pleasure to highly recommend the Lodge Hotel to other members of the TripAdvisor family.
