The Venezia has a nice variety of pasta and pizza dishes and a regular selection of specials. The food can often be good but can also occasionally be a bit hit and miss, for example the pasta can sometimes be overdone or stodgy. Get a good day and youve got yourself a well priced satisfying meal. Theres more good than bad here and a bit more attention to ingredients and flavour would do no harm. The mussels are consistently excellent as is the haddock risotto.
The restaurant staff are second to none. All are extremely helpful and a pleasure to be around. So much so that the Venezias real appeal is its atmosphere which is always lively and friendly. Table bookings arent taken so get there early at weekends or you'll end up waiting at the bar area which is a litttle cramped.
