Whenever we are in the area it is the first place we visit. Even though we have been several times, there is always something new to see, or at least something that we missed the last time. Everything is so well laid out, well labelled and there is plenty of seating so you can linger and take a really good look. This time I concentrated on the frames, some of them enhance the paintings, some are works of art in their own right, most, but not all add to the art work. And at the end there is a really good cup of tea.

This gallery of Lord Lever's art collection is definitely worth a visit. There are many paintings by world famous artists, especially Pre-Raphaelite; also Wedgewood and Chinese pottery and porcelain.

This gallery is in Port Sunlight on the Wirral - and the village itself is an amazing place.

The gallery building is lovely in itself and the avenue infront of it is superb. The many collections withing the gallery are superb and so diverse. The history of the village and the collection is so interesting. Been on the hit list for a while and so glad we made the effort to go. The staff were very helpful, although gave up on the information phone thing - it was too big and a bit distracting.
We had lunch and this was a bit disappointing. The music in the cafe is awful and intrusive and the food was only OK. Choice a bitlimited too. However, the cake we had in the afternoon was lovely.

I would go again.

What a wonderful art gallery so a wide range of artefacts & art to see. Loved the Turner & the Constable, and wow what a collection of Wedgewood. The walk around the Sunlight village so interesting, what an inspiration Lord Leverhulme should be to us all. Will definitely be back again!
