“Five stars from me.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

This is a lovely art gallery, with some fantastic paintings on display. The current exhibition, Rossetti's Obsession, is tremendous and well worth a visit, but even the regular works are pretty impressive. If you like Millais, Burne-Jones, Leighton, Turner and Constable you'll love this place, if you are more into modern art, then maybe you should try The Tate Liverpool instead.
The café is in the basement, and is rather cheerless which is a shame, but it's still five stars from me.

“Stunning Gallery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

We took the train from James Street Station its 6 stops on the train. The Gallery is a 5 mins walk from the station in the middle of the village of Port Sunlight built by Lord Levy for his workers, a museum in its self. The Museum is free to enter. There was an exhibition on Rossetti's obsession with Jane Morris, very interesting with excellent sketches, there are other pre-Raphaelites in the gallery along with other wonderful pieces of sculpture, pottery, furniture etc. There is a very good café to eat or snack in. The staff at this Gallery were very helpful and informative. Walk around the village when you leave, quite amazing. Worth a visit.

This is the second time i have visited this Art Gallery and from Liverpool centre it's a short journey on the train and about a ten minute walk to the Gallery. Lovely place to have a meal and there is museum just round the corner with the history of Port Sunlight village well worth a visit.

“Nice cake”

Tea and cake were very good :-) Shame its down in a basement, would have liked to have been able to see the sunshine. Was quite busy but did not have to wait too long to be served.
