Having had our wedding reception at the Riverhill, we chose to go back there with Family for a meal to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, there was 12 of us in the party and we all felt very welcome, the food was amazing and the service was second to none. none of us could fault anything. we would all highly recommend the Riverhill to anyone wanting a special meal in a beautiful place.

We've been to the Riverhill many times over the years but had stopped going as we didn't like the masterchef touch. We went to celebrate a friends 40th wedding anniversary and I'm happy to report that the standards are back to where they used to be... Excellent food and excellent service. Every meal was excellent and the good old sweet trolley didn't let us down. Looking forward to going back again

This restaurant has a good quality hotel attached to it, but the reviews here show that that is no limitation to it as a local place for a good meal out. The car park was packed due to all the diners on the Friday evening when I was staying there, and the hubbub coming from the restaurant sounded great!

I just had the breakfast on the Saturday morning, but a very good 'full English' it was too, and the service was very friendly. The place feels a bit like an oasis from busy, thriving Liverpool which is not so far away.

I live in the South of England, my niece in the Wirral and over many years I have visited The Riverhill. Our visit this time was unfortunate inasmuch as The Riverhill is in the process of changing hands. Stocks of 'nibbles' were depleted so nothing with our pre dinner drinks; the wine list was incomplete, many wines being out of stock. A pity but perhaps the takeover is causing problems. Our meal was very good; a generous portion of freshly cooked vegetables accompanied our main dishes; the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. The desserts are served from a trolley with lots of choice but nothing outstanding and no hot dishes. We look forward to returning on our next visit when the new owners have had a chance to settle in.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a wedding. Steve and his team made it such a memorable day for our daughter and her husband. The food and service was exceptional.
