Having spent 6 weeks at this Hotel I have had a very pleasant stay, the room is very spacious - clean and comfortable and the owners Mr and Mrs Black are extremely friendly and accomodating....I would recommend this Hotel to anyone as its close to all ammenities and central to other areas, as well as being Home from Home..

I stayed at the Bannview regularly over a three year period. I was made to feel like a member of the family whilst there. The Bannview is a well-run and friendly B&B, with an evening meal option which I found to be very helpful. A bar is also available and I made frequent use of Sky Sports there on weekday nights! The bedrooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Joan and Gerald did all they could to make me feel at home - and I highly recommend their accomodation.

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 night the begining of December with our son and Daughter-in-law. It was very central to the town and easy to visit other areas such as craigavon and Lurgan. We were in N. Ireland to visit family and found it to be an ideal base. The rooms vere very large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The staff were friendly and offered advice when asked. We will certainly book again for our next visit.

Whilst I couldn't fault the rooms and the facilities within them, the overall experience was less than impressive. The exterior and the entrance is pretty bleak; there is no reception area to speak of.
Their website boasts a licensed restaurant but fails to mention that it is only open from Monday to Thursday. They must be doing very well indeed to close their dining facilities and bar at weekends?
I cannot figure out where the name of the establishment came from. There is no view of the Bann River; only the back of a shopping centre opposite.
Not a good advertisement for tourism in Northern Ireland

This B&B was clean, tidy and handy. Handy in that it is very central to Portadown town centre and handy because it is opposite a Tesco/McDonalds shopping centre. This B&B has its own parking facility, yet it within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. The cost is quite reasonable and is one of the few B&Bs with a good, clean ensuite. Sadly no bath, but one can't have everything. It will certainly appeal to daytrippers or fishing fanatics since it is less than a minute away from the infamous Bann river. I would certainly recommend this B&B as value for money. The breakfast is quite good too. However, the building is a maze of stairs and on different floors, so it is not suitable for most disabled people. The staff are friendly and I look forward to staying there again.

  • Liked — Size of room and cleanliness
  • Disliked — Awkward to navigate. Easy to get lost in corridors/stairs etc
