Found through late rooms for £44 B&B, Dble room. Needed a cheap nights accommodation near to Longleat. This fitted the bill; had a late licence which appealed for us on that particular evening. Plenty of reference to the late licence on the website and even received a personal email from the manager reminding us of this. Expected very little for the price However VERY pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, basic but complete room....coffee/tea facilities, hair dryer and nice toiletries! Comfy bed. Looked onto the courtyard which we expected might mean we would be kept awake with the late disco. This was not the case, double glazing worked well.
Breakfast was fantastic, lovely proper butchers meaty sausages and "real" bread not plastic sliced!! Freshly ground coffee too. Staff very helpful and friendly. Overall a lovely experience for a superb price.

I stayed for just one night. It was easy to find, there was car parking, the welcome was warm and booking in process was quick and efficient. The room was clean and tidy with all the facilities needed for an overnight stay. Shower could have been more modern and powerful but it was adequate. Wifi provided but didn't work very well. Dinner menu was good pub food. Breakfast was fantastic - everything cooked to order and very good indeed. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall, great value for money.

Dropped in for a midweek lunch. Staff very helpful & friendly, particularly good with young children. Food generally of a good standard, but more variety would be good.

Please, if you are offering a pie, make a pie. A BOWL OF STEW WITH A SEPERATELY COOKED PIECE OF PUFF PASTRY CHUCKED ON TOP IS NOT A PIE. Sorry, it's my pet obsession at the moment.

Thought we would try again now that it has been refurbished. The overall appearence of the bar/restaurant area is greatly improved. There was a good atmosphere. They have a new menu with plenty of dishes to choose from, the quality of the food very good. If it remains the same they will give wetherspoons a run for their money as the food here is a step above. Very enjoyable and we will definately visit again.

I booked a family room. The room was surprisingly very big and seemed like its a 4 star hotel. Great customer service. Highly recommended.

Hotel have a late night license, so you may hear some noise during weekend, but I would say you better join them too. :)

Stayed: October 2013
