for under £60 for a double with full breakfast for 2 this was excellent value, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good, we stayed on a friday night and it was very noisy, they have a disco until 1 we knew this though and it did not detract from our stay. but if you want quiet, dont stay on that night. the quality of the coffee drinks and food was good, the rooms were adequate, pretty clean, lots of towels, clean sheets, tv coffee and tea making etc. all in all I would definately recommend a stay at this hotel, and its right by longleat.own carpark was also very handy.

My stay was for a weekend sightseeing locally. The Old Bell was an ideal location.

Top Tips.....

Book on line!
Just ask the staff for anything they are very attentive and helpful.
Can be loud at the weekend, but it didn't bother me.
Free Car park
Tasty breakfast, have the full English!
Supermarket, coffee shops and other food places around.

I witnessed the team deal with some difficult customers which they did with professionalism.....

Down side- to be hugely critical the access to the bedrooms is up a narrow steepish staircase..... but then it would be its an ancient building!

I will be back!

Booked via late rooms for a very reasonable price and was not disappointed! The hotel had it's own car park which was a plus, and was in a great position on the high street. The room was clean, well decorated and the bed was comfy! The staff really made the place, especially the chap who served us at breakfast! Late licence wasn't a problem for us but with the windows shut it blocked out most of the noise anyway. Super stay and would recommend!

We stayed here on a saturday night after visiting Longleat. On arrival the barman informed us that the pub does have a late license, however this is a little late for anyone wanting to change their mind!

The room was fine, clean and an okay size with working television. The bed was comfortable and clean.

Our nights sleep was disturbed due to the loud noise from people in the courtyard until around 2am, when the pub closed.

Breakfast was good - good selection and a very attentive member of staff.

I would stay again, but not at a weekend.

Room Tip: Be careful of room 103 on a friday or saturday night

Was very impressed, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was good. The room was better than expected. The bathroom was a little basic but more than sufficed. Really good value for money. If staying in this part of the world would definitely recommend.

Booked here for a night before a spa break at centre parcs, just for a goods nights sleep before a spa day the following day and having had the day before we arrived in Bath. The welcome was warm and friendly, and we were escorted to our room straight away. Room was well appointed for a B and B of this price with lovely comfy bed, Freeview tv, lovely power shower, nice towels and linens and good quality bathroom amenities such as shampoo and shower gel. We asked for some glasses from the bar as we were spending the evening in our room and request was met with no problem. Slept really well due to comfy bed and the breakfast the following morning was delicious, went for standard full English but they offered all variations including breakfast sandwiches etc. Cereal and juice was available to help yourself too. The only negative was the car park is small, and it would be nice if they reserved spaces for guests, so had to park in the public car park across the road, only had to put an hour on as was up early the following morning and arrived in evening, but more from a security perspective would nice to be in their car park if staying in hotel. But will defiantly be back to stay if am in this area again!
