We stayed with Joy and Sim Greathead in May 2014. They gave us a really warm welcome with tea and biscuits in the garden, which is most attractive and has views over fields of cattle, and up to the downs.
Our room was small but cosy, the beds were superb and we slept extremely well on good quality mattresses. The bathroom was well-appointed if small with a good shower and quality washing gels etc.
Joy provided us with a tasty and generous breakfast with plenty of home-grown and home-made produce. She and Sim were attentive, interesting to talk to and made us feel at home.
We will certainly stay there again if we are in the area.

We stayed for 3 nights. Had everything you could want. Beautiful clean rooms. WiFi and a welcoming cup of tea or coffee. Parking was a bit tight for our estate car but we could reverse out onto the road or if one of the other cars had gone (ours was one of three) it was easy to turn and drive out forward. We bought some of the home-made jam and marmalade to take home, nice to have both without too much sugar!

My husband and I stayed at Deverill End Bed and Breakfast for a weekend break our dear daughter had organised for us at the end of this month,May 2014.
Dear Sim and Joy greeted us at the door with such warmth and care, welcoming us into their beautiful home.
Our double bedroom was comfortable, cosy and spotless with the most inspiring view from our large window, overlooking lovingly, well tended gardens and stunning rolling landscape.
Once our luggage was in we enjoyed a delicious pot of tea and cookies in the lounge,a really appreciated touch after our long journey. Joy so kindly offered to book a restaurant reservation as it was late afternoon, and she was able to make some appreciated recommendations locally.
We shared a truly memorable stay with the lovely Joy ans Sim, wonderful characters and dedicated hosts.
Delicious breakfasts filled with quality foods and preserves, wonderful conversation and humour-Joy and Sim it was a 'Joy' to stay with you and we will recommend your good selves and your beautiful retreat to all,we shall return.
Thank you for making our stay so very special!
Daza and Alli :) :)

Nothing was too much trouble, we felt really welcome and thoroughly spoilt. Very good breakfast, all home produced ingredients, all you could possibly eat. I agree with previous reviews the bathroom was very small but adequate and not much storage space but it was not a problem for us. Fantastic views from the windows, pretty garden, field of sheep and lambs and we could watch the race horses being galloped in the distance. If you want peace and quiet in Wiltshire this is the place.

My family stayed at Sim and Joy's beautiful house whilst visiting Longleat. They were welcoming and extremely friendly. Nothing was too much bother! Sim and Joy are nearly totally self sufficient , with our Sunday breakfast having free range eggs and home made fruit compote to name a few! We would love to go back and spend longer there and in the surrounding area, which is beautiful and so peaceful. Thank you Sim and Joy !

We've stayed at Deverill End three times. We've tried many of the Warminster area B&Bs, being regular visitors, and this is our favourite. Quiet surroundings, lovely garden and views, charming hosts, home grown food etc. Easy access to Salisbury and Longleat. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for two nights so we could make a weekend out of visiting Longleat Safari Park which is a short drive away. The advantage of this is that Joy & Sim (the B&B owners) were able to provide us with discounted tickets so this worked out very well!

Deverill End is a very small B&B run by a very friendly and accommodating couple in their own large bungalow. The house is surrounded by the most magnificent gardens which include extensive vegetable patches and plenty of wildfowl and ducks. Deverill End is on the edge of the village of Sutton Veny with views of some of the best countryside Wiltshire has to offer.

Travelling as two couples we had two neighbouring rooms which were more-or-less identical. Though not necessarily to our taste the rooms were very comfortable and we all slept very well. Although they made good use of a awkward space both bathrooms were very small and could be quite difficult to use. This didn't bother us for a couple of nights but I imagine this would get a little frustrating for a longer stay.

Joy and Sim were so incredibly warm and welcoming and it felt as if they were welcoming friends to stay with them rather than paying guests. There were lots of nice personal touches that we enjoyed, for example they have taken a great deal of time to fill the guest information which really extensive local information (and family history) including their own personal thoughts on local pubs and restaurants.

Breakfast was a full-English home-cooked affair with as much toast and home produced jam as you could eat and lots of local produce. It was very delicious and really set us up for the day.

It'd certainly recommend a stay here is you want great service in quiet & beautiful surroundings.
