I love this place. The house provides a stately alternative to the family fun of the safari park and zoo. Whilst the equivalent USA attractions are bigger and (lets be honest) better there is a modesty and quintessential englishness about it all. Approx £100+ for family of four.

Everything at Longleat is amazing. Firstly we drove through the safari and especially enjoyed feeding the giraffes and the deers. We then parked up in the car park and went in the park and walked along side penguins and meerkats. We went into the house and had a very good day. Will definitely be returning in the future and would recommend the place to anyone. Also very good value for money and plenty of places to sit down and toilets

We enjoyed our trip to Longleat - there are plenty of things to do and see and we will be returning for the attractions we didn't get around to on this visit.

Positives: The staff are great! All were friendly, informative and helpful, especially Scott who entertained us throughout the safari bus tour! The attractions are clean, well presented and well run. There's something for all ages to enjoy so it's a great place for the family. The animals look happy and well cared for and I was impressed with how close you can get.

Negatives: The entry cost is quite expensive, as are the additional extras you can buy throughout (e.g. photos, food for animals, safari bus), and the food on site is also very expensive. The safari bus could be improved by air conditioning, on a warm day moving slowly for an hour it gets very hot on board.

Overall a great day out! Tip: Book online in advance for a discount.

I was unsure what to expect as I am not a big fan of animals in captivity. I was overwhelmed by the space and surroundings the animals were kept in. On arrival we took the Safari Game Drive , the animals were active and we saw all of them close up. We avoided the monkeys. Highlights were feeding the Giraffe's and the deer, who were very demanding. Other attractions we enjoyed were the Penguin Walk, Safari Boat trip and Train Ride. On the second day we visited the house twice. The first was a guided tour of the Private Rooms and Murals and the second was a "free flow" visit around the historical rooms. In Jungle Kingdom the animals were very active we especially loved the Binturong, which we had never seen before, Red Panda, Ant Eaters and the baby Meerkat. We had lunch in the Tropical Storm Cafe where there was a nice selection of food at reasonable prices and good portions. After lunch the Birds of Prey demonstration, we finished off with the game Safari again. There really is enough to do over to days at this really great attraction. Another good pointer to the park is there is no great pressure to spend money on other games and attractions as there is at some other attractions. Stay locally and have a two day visit.

Haven't been to longleat for 10 years.. and wow hasn't it changed. It was amazing the weather was beautiful was a great day. There is lots to do walking with the meer cat's, penguins, and there latest addition the sting rays, they were so friendly. The safari was brilliant feeding the deer and getting VERY close to the rhinos and the lion and tigers. was a great day will defiantly go again!!
