“You need more than a day at Longleat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

From contacting the staff at Longleat for information to finishing the day out, was excellent. All the staff were helpful, facilities were good. Food halls were not over priced, especially when you used their 2 for 1 vouchers, main meal under £5.00 each with voucher at the time of visit. June 14

Spent almost two hours going around the safari park stopping to view the animals at our leisure, which were allowed to roam freely within reason; a handy CD to put in your player was very useful when you remembered to play it in the appropriate place along the route. After lunch watched the various attraction that were on, such as the Birds of Prey flying display, stroking the Stingrays, walking amongst the Penguins, Meerkats etc. A trip on the boat to see other animals , Hippos, Gorilla, Seals that followed the boat. All this and more in the All Day Tickets. Just did not have time to go round the house, should have purchased a 2 day all in ticket. Would highly recommend for all ages.

“Definitely worth a visit.”

We stayed at the Caravan Club site adjacent to Longleat, which is excellent in every way, especially for families. If you are taking a caravan the last 2 miles are down country lanes so take care and do not arrive before 13:00, you really don't want to meet another caravan coming the other way.

We approached a visit to Longleat with some trepidation expecting it to be a giant kiddy theme park.

How wrong we were.

The house is excellent, highly recommend taking one of the guided tours which take you to parts of the house only available on the tours. Lord Bath's "murals" - you'll why the quotation marks - are a real love or hate experience.

The boat trip and safari are excellent too. Recommend taking the safari bus tour (£4 extra) if you don't want your car trashed by the monkeys. They are practiced experts at removing bits of cars. It's much more amusing to watch them trash other people's cars from the bus.

There are many Kiddy themed attraction too.

A good day out.

“My first visit!!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

This place is awesome!!! Loved the safari wish we could have had longer. The animals all looked well cared for and lots of babies. The big cats were my favourite although the naughty monkeys chewing on the car aerial that they had just detached from the previous car were entertaining. Bit expensive but when you see the work that goes into it, it is understandable. Didnt have enough time to see the house but will be coming back for a return visit as we arrived at midday so if you want to see it all, arrive early. Plenty of places to eat and drink and I particularly liked that after you did the interaction with the animals there were always soap and water available to wash your hands.

“Interesting animals and tour”

First handy hint. Make sure you know when the tour bus runs during the day for the safari. Pay the extra £. The monkeys in the safari park WILL damage your car. We saw windscreen seals being ripped off cars, roof racks/plastics, aerials. Is it really worth it?!? The animals seen are different from Australian zoos so that was good and the little river cruise was good too. You can take your own food in, which I wasn't aware of and that would have been handy for me being pregnant. The birds show was amazing and def worth watching. It was a shame that the deer feeding wasn't available. Most feeding is £1 a cup of food. Would retr as we rushed things a bit and probably needed more time.

“Great day out at Longleat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This was our first viisit to Longleat my wife has wanted to visit the safari park for a long time and we were"nt disappointed. We went round the safari park first we saw all the animals with the exception of the cheetahs. My wife is disabled so she has to use a mobility scooter we can"t thank the staff in the house enough a member of staff was always available to help us into the lift from floor to floor. A number of disabled people were going round the house at the same time as us but staff were very helpful. On our second tour of the safari park we managed to see the cheetahs which made my wifes day as they are the only big cat that she hasnt seen before. We didnt have time to visit all the attractions so another visit is a must.
