This Travelodge was a good example of the brand. The refurbished room was clean and comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. The staff were welcoming, so no complaints there.
However the adjacent Little Chef was a different story. It was quite busy when I went in, but they just couldn't cope and panic seemed to have set in. Food was being sent back for being overcooked and undercooked. They had run out of pies and fish, so I ended up with a slightly overcooked, dry gammon, after a good half an hour's wait. Burger King is also available and looked a better option.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here after a long day at Longleat. The room itself was a lovely size and the bed is about king sized. Although my boyfriend said the mattress was hard, I actually didn't mind it. On the ground floor you hear the traffic and cars moving in the car park. It is handy having a Burger King there as a quick meal after a busy day. The bathroom had a bit of damp around the floor near the bath but that's easily seen over. I would have slept a treat if it wasn't for the people above banging around late at night and early in the morning, so the walls are very thin!

The welcome we received from the receptionist was both professional and friendly. The room was newly refurbished with attractive curtains and spotless white bed linen. We were able to make ourselves a much needed cup of tea on arrival and again the next morning. We were able to breakfast just along the corridor at the Little Chef which was most convenient. all in all, very good value for money.

Decent sized room and for your cash you could not complain, girls on the desk were friendly and genuine.

Not sure about having the grease factory next door, you could smell cooking fat all night.

However that aside it was value for money

Stayed here for 2 separate weeks. The hotel itself is nice and clean with good friendly staff and fairly large rooms. The water for showers and baths is lukewarm at best, I complained after the first week but it was the same when I came back. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel as a great stop over. There is plenty of parking for larger vehicles as well. mobile broadband signals are non existant at best here with o2/giff gaff just working but no others. Hotel Wifi prices are very expensive. My overall experience was good and I would go there again.
