We recently stayed in the village whilst visiting Longleat for the weekend. The wool pack was recommended to us . We pre booked a while before we travelled, which is necessary as there are only a few tables in the dining room. The food was beautiful and lots of it too! Would recommend, even though slightly expensive than the others nearby. It was worth it!

We have eaten at The Woolpack since it opened four years ago at very regular intervals and we have never been disappointed.,The food on every occasion has been both varied and absolutely delicious and our parties have consisted of two to twenty, On all occasions we have been welcomed graciously and throughout our dining experience we were consistently asked "is everything alright?" So, you lovely people at The Woolpack, keep doing what you have been doing because you really do have the perfect recipe.

Have eaten here on several previous occasions and experienced good food and service, we were therefore very disappointed with our visit on 29th June.
After ordering drinks we were told that 3 items were not available. We had booked a table for 4 and it was only 8.15, the restaurant was not full. The menu is small, so this left the most expensive main courses £22+. The meals came with salad which consisted of lettuce and 3 very thin 1/2 slices of tomato. - Not what I call salad.
The service was sloppy, we were not asked if we wanted bread and also had to ask for a jug of water.
One of our party had pudding, and the waitress(!) dumped it on the table and said "ere you are" - I think she wanted to go home!
We will not be back!

Four of us decided to have sunday lunch out and also to celebrate a birthday. Every one's food was excellent, three of us roast pork and I had the beef with all the usual trimmings. Puddings were divine and the whole lunch and experience can be highly recommended. Plus a warm welcome and great service.

I use the Woolpack on a regular basis mostly for Sunday Lunches and the occasional night out. We also block booked it for a family Sunday Lunch for 32 and organised business lunches and dinners as part of our work. I have yet to be disappointed. Tim and Abbie are the most hospitable hosts. The food is always first class with a great wine list and choice of beers. So from a romantic night out for 2, to a mass sunday lunch including kids and fussy eaters or somewhere to impress your guests The Woolpack is for you.
