When we were initially seated the waiter was adamant that we could not seat my brother's 2yo at the head of the table, citing that it is against policy to serve food over the head of guests. He wasn't going to back down so instead we had to have an extra table joined to ours with someone sat on it alone. It is worth pointing out that despite this concession, food was in fact served over our heads (as would be expected in any restaurant) so not sure what the fuss was about. Furthermore, for the rest of the meal it felt the waiter was oscillating between being friendly or passive aggressive - but maybe that was just my pessimism after the initial encounter.
The food on the other hand was great! I think this was my first time at a Cafe Rouge but others at the table had been before and they were all very impressed with the food they had and commented on it being better than others in the chain.
The restaurant setting was very nice with a lot of greenery but this is to be expected in the middle of a Centre Parcs plaza!
I would definitely go again...
