Great holiday, stayed in one of the Exclusive Games Lodges (Number 96) which had it's own hot tub, sauna and steam room. The accomodation was very spacious, each bedroom had an en suite and the kids loved the games room.
The maids called each day and even did the washing up, towels and bedding was also changed so we really didn't have to do much other than enjoy the holiday.

Good points included the incredibly friendly staff, especially those at the guest services desk and the arrivals lodge. Nothing was too much trouble, they must be well looked after (or well paid..) by Center Parcs as the type of friendliness you get is quite unusual these days.

Activities we did were the treetop adventure and zip wire over the lake (cared for and looked after by the incredibly busy bet incredibly friendly and professional Kirsty) and the Falconery experience for the kids - good but take a coat with you if you do it as it's in a 'hollow' in the forest and the sun does not get to it.

Dining - well the Pancake place was our favourite but get there early as it's always busy.

Bad points - if you walk, especially with a buggy or pram, you have to be prepared to dice with death with the cyclists (and there are lots of them..) as this is a real problem that somehow needs to be addressed - it's really not safe in my opinion. Also, on the same kind of subject there is quite a lot of traffic passing where we were staying, delivery vehicles, CP's own maintenance crews and of course the people who can have their car next to their accomodation - there is a 10mph speed limit on site but I have to say this also needs addressing as you have to be very careful to get out of the way quickly as people drive way too fast on site.

These two things (especially the mad cyclists) were much more noticeable this year than the last time we stayed which was two years ago.

If you can stretch to one of the Exclusive Games Lodges (or one of the new treehouses being built as we stayed) and can avoid the bikes and traffic then this could well be the only place you need to go.

Accommodate was dirty inc pubic hairs on supposed clean bed linen and toe nails on the floor. Staff did come and re-clean the place however it was late at night before they had finished.
Everything is overpriced.
Lovely location.
Would not recommend.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post on Trip Advisor.

I am so sorry that we have failed to meet with your expectations. I agree that poor cleanliness is never acceptable and I am sorry that your accommodation was not prepared for your arrival.

We take time to read all reviews posted on Trip Advisor, we wish to understand and take on board our guests views.

We booked a last minute 4 night break at Longleat and had a fantastic time. Luckily this week was before the majority of the country broke up for half term, which meant that the parc wasn't too overcrowded.
Our accommodation was basic but spotlessly clean. I reported several light bulbs not working and these were replaced within the hour.
We ate out every night sampling the various restaurant's and have to say that the spanish tapas was fab, but the best meal was in The Grand Cafe, eating a delicious meal while listening to the resident guitarist.
All the staff at the parc, whether it was the "train driver", swimming pool cleaner or supermarket assistant were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
My son left a cd in the villa, and when I reported this to customer services on our way out, the cd arrived back with us at home within 2 days !!!
The whole family had a great break and thanks to everyone at Longleat, we will be back.

Room Tip: This is a large parc, but you can get around easily with a bike or use the "train" which r...

We had booked into a Comfort Plus villa - this accommodation was of a very basic standard, slightly shabby and minimally equipped.
No toilet rolls! - though 2 (for 8 people for 3days!!) were delivered 3 hours after our phone call.
No tea towels or oven glove - never delivered in spite of phone call requesting them. They had been promised as part of the Comfort Plus package.
Two keys between 8 of us - not 3 as stated in the spec.
The basic cost of the accommodation was expensive - and the additional costs for every activity were always just slightly more than the most you might reasonably have expected to pay.
There was a general sense of penny pinching in many respects. For heaven`s sake, why charge 20p. for the swimming costume dryers. Most people won`t have 20p. with them in the changing area - and many will compromise safety by simply wringing out their costumes on the floor.
Apart from these price/accommodation issues, we had a great time. The Aqua Sana spa was absolutely brilliant and the Wildwater rapids were great fun. And our extended family group of 18 really enjoyed being together here for 3 days.

We last visited Longleat 10 years ago with children. We found on this visit the place has been marred by so much extra building, losing that 'lost in the forest' feel. This has brought in extra people so that it felt much more crowded and in addition found we were dodging vehicles on our bikes. I would have been much more worried if I had taken children on this last visit. Also while our villa was comfortable there were many niggles, bathroom fans not working, lights not working though some of these were fixed while we were there. The price trebles during school holidays, the only time I can visit which isn't value for money!

We have been going to centreparcs at longleat for over 10 years now, the reason we go is because it is so beautiful there. There is always a warm welcome from the check in staff and all the staff in the village, bars, restaurants, shops etc. We have never had a bad experience and we often go at least twice a year. We now have a five year old and a set of twins. we have found that centreparcs has grown with us. The villas are well maintained and well equipped and set amongst the trees which is great. fully recommended.

Room Tip: if you dont mind alittle walk try to book a villa out of the centre as there a beautiful things to s...

We have been to Center Parcs Longleat since the children were small, but now teenagers. We usually stay close to the Plaza (swimming pools) but a last minute booking meant we were over the other side of the park, beyond the Jardine des Sports. Although a lovely and peaceful area, it was a long slog on bikes, up hill(s) and down dale(s) to the amenities and we were glad of the landtrain by the third day! As you can only take your car in on the first and last day to your villa, it is best to bring all that you will need with you, such as food, so that you can carry it in from the car, rather than bringing shopping back by bike. With six of us we self-catered which keeps the costs down, although there has always been a problem with the oven not getting hot enough! The children are now teenagers and it was great to relax in the pool and let them go off and amuse themselves; they loved the outdoor rapids. I was surprised that only one lifeguard was at the wave pool and not really paying attention (compared to a Disney water park anyway!). Although the pool stayed open until 9 pm, the snack bar inside closed about 6.30, which was dissapointing - they are missing a sales opportunity there!. We did badminton and indoor golf and pedalos on the lake but many more activities would add up, although this is obvious from the literature received before we went. We enjoyed the Starbucks outlets a few times! The villa was very clean and comfortable, especially the beds, but the one TV is dated and only got a few channels, although we didn't spend much time watching it - take a few board games, it is surprising how much teenagers enjoy these once persuaded to play! Some more cutlery and crockery in the villa would avoid running the dishwasher so often. We will definitely go back.

Room Tip: You don't need an 'executive' villa to be comfortable.
