“Center Parcs Longleat Forest”
Reviewed 9 December 2013

Just had a weekend break at Center Parcs Longleat and found it very relaxing. Some small niggles with the villa like the TV not hooked up to the bathroom speakers which just required pushing a plug in to a socket. A few cobwebs here and there but overall very nice and comfortable. I was shocked at the prices being charged in the Parcmarket compared to prices outside. Eating out is pretty expensive if you have a family which can make this an expensive break.

Room Tip: Villa 430 has good views at the rear and is very quiet at night.

I visited Centre Parcs with my children at the beginning of December, staying in a 2 storey lodge complete with sauna, along with my sister and her family. We were positioned in Maple which was perfect as it was only 5 minutes walk to the Plaza and 10 minutes up hill to the Village square.. We started off each morning at the Advent Calendar which is near Guest Services, each lodge/villa receives a ticket and 1 each per child, offering anything from a mini hamper to a meal for 4 in one of the onsite restaurants. We then went swimming in the pool and rapids for many hours until everyone decided they were ready for lunch. Back to the lodge for lunch and rest before resuming our fun in the rapids late afternoon. So much fun swimming late afternoon as the pool is floodlit (not too bright though) and much more fun swimming when dark.. We ate out twice during the week, once in Strada which was lovely food, tasty and well presented so happy mum and contented children. Friday we watched the pantomime which was very good and certainly entertaining- even my 16yr old was laughing and enjoying it.. The accommodation was ideal for the 7 of us, with 4 bedrooms and all ensuite, the children all had enough space to not crowd each other and could take themselves off to their rooms if they wished for 5 minutes quiet time.. The addition of an attached sauna was lovely and a perfect way to end a busy day swimming. The only downside was the décor seemed pretty dated and in need of a refurb, but they seem to be updating throughout the parc, so a minor flaw there.. It is our second stay and will definitely not be our last.. A great week well spent..

We went to Longleat for a mid week break for my partners birthday in a 1 bedroom executive lodge, we absolutely loved it! Our villa was gorgeous, seemed like we were secluded from the rest of the park, totally silent whenever we opened a door or window. But our location was just perfect, Pine 357 seemed to be the best place to be, a 10 minute walk from jardin de sport and the plaza, what more do you need?! We bumped into our cleaners, Carole and May, twice in the week, thinking it would be a bit awkward, but they were lovely and made us feel even more welcomed! We arrived to more appliances in the kitchen then we have at home, a dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker, even a blender! We had one unfortunate run in with a staff member at the bowling bar, who was extremely rude. But other than that, everyone was very polite and accommodating.
We got turned away at Hucks (we didn't have reservations) but so glad we did as Howtons was a gorgeous new restaurant, although pricey, was an extremely delicious and sophisticated!
This was my first time and I can't wait to go again, Woburn should be open in April and that is much closer to where we live. Can't wait to compare!

Room Tip: We booked an executive lodge, situated at Pine 357 - highly recommended for couples, was beautiful a...

This was our first visit and certainly won't be our last...
We have always heard rave reports about the place, so we thought we'd find out for ourselves. Well, everyone was right! From start to finish we couldn't find any fault! The villa was superb, it felt so isolated and cosy . The open fire is great. The facilities are varied and there's lots of things to keep u busy and entertained. The fireworks on the last night was a nice touch . Food is quite pricy, so to keep costs down bring your own. The pool is brilliant, the rapids just fab! All the staff were v friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back.

We've just returned from a midweek break, we were sooooo excited having been last year. But with a Grand Cafe table mistake and very uncharacteristic rudeness from staff. A forty minute wait to see father christmas ( be warned your allocated time doesn't mean anything!) a ten minute horse and carriage ride!!! Thank goodness for the pantomime and the subtropical pool!!! Our four year old remained oblivious to all our issues which was the main thing..... Hopefully it was just a minor blip as the staff are just getting into winterwonderland spirit, but lots of room for improvement as our stay last year had been magical from start to finish, definitely wasn't that this year - sorry center parcs - previous biggest fan :(

Room Tip: We shared a four bed executive lodge maple 929, 5 mins from Plaza and 5 mins from Village, huge acco...

We have visited Center parcs at Longleat for 7 consecutive years and have enjoyed the experience until this year, Visited last week at upgraded from previous years to a nice exclusive villa with Hot Tub, Big mistake!
It was like a Butlins Stag and Hen week with parties and noisy neighbours until 2.30am every night.
Shame on you Center Parcs for allowing such guests to the park to distrust families that want a peaceful break

Thank you for posting your review.

Following our conversation this morning I can appreciate your disappointment this time as you experienced noise disturbance from your neighbours.

I understand that you did report your concerns once during your stay and that our security team did visit and the matter was resolved.

As discussed I was sorry to hear that you did not feel it was appropriate to report this behaviour again as we would genuinely welcome the chance to put things right during your stay.

As a very loyal guest to Center Parcs I know that you previously enjoyed peaceful breaks with us and that this situation is unusual. I do hope that this will not deter you from visiting again to allow us to restore your faith in Center Parcs.

Kind regards
Linda Pike

Excellent holiday but land train - pretty essential if you are on the far side - no facilities for buggies we really struggled as we had a 4month old baby who needed a bigger buggy. We found we had to walk a lot and with such a young baby it meant we had to curtail some of our activities.
Definitely take the smallest fold up buggy you can fin for book near main facilities.
