Had a wonderful Sunday Lunch, Lobster soup and cold smoked salmon to start, Sirloin of beef ( locally sourced )and Dover sole from newlyn for mains, then we shared the cheese board. Amazing food served by helpful and friendly staff. It's very refreshing that the chef took time to leave his busy kitchen to chat to us. A memorable lunch and looking forward to a return visit. Well worth a visit.

I took my partner here on a busy Saturday night. When we arrived the staff were lovely from the beginning, to see the head chef talking around the front talking to diners was also refreshing. He comes across very pleasant and humble.

Our table wasn't the best, small and in a corner, forgivable though as we called up late to book and the restaurant was busy.

The food was outstanding. To start we shared the cheese soufflé, perfect to share. I had the fillet steak and my partner had the shoulder of lamb. Both very generous in size, cooked brilliantly and presented attractively. For desert we shared the chocolate fondant, which comes with chocolate ice cream. As well, presented superbly and a delight to eat.

To find out at the end that the head chef is alone in the kitchen with his kp added amazement to the standard of the food.

The staff are friendly and are clearly very good at what they do.

Will be returning with as many friends as I can suggest.

This was our first visit to The Longs Arms and will definitely not be the last. The chef has a fantastic flair for flavours and presentation and uses seasonal produce to its absolute best. Everything from the service to the nice touch of home made chocolates at the end was first class. Would recommend for those who appreciate good food, nice setting and a warm welcome.

This evening we have had one of the very best meals we have had in this country. We have been looking for some time to find a local pub/restaurant that serves imaginative and well-cooked food without being pretentious or over-priced. For our two starters we had pea ravioli and lamb sweetbreads. For the main course we both had mackerel with mussels, cockles, asparagus, samphire and Jersey Royal potatoes. We hadn't intended to have a dessert but couldn't resist trying them. All three courses were delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and efficient, without being fussy. It all made for a truly exceptional meal out for a very reasonable price for the quality. We look forward to returning before too long.

We ventured out of Bath and wanted a great lunch and found The Long Arms online. The chef here can cook!
I had a vegetarian starter which i wouldnt usually pick and it was divine! A mint and pea ravioli and my partner had a venison and black pudding scotch egg which looked delicious. Mains were equally good and it aired on the gastro side of fine dining, as in fine dining type food in decent portion sizes.
Service was attentive and afterwards we went into the garden for a coffee in the sunshine which came with their amazing home made chocolates which i'd be tempted to see if i can buy to take away.
Definitely worth the drive out of Bath and will 100% be going back again-a real destination pub!!
