On arrival we found the staff very helpfull and friendly, our room was in the coach house. We found the room vey well furnished and modern .well travelled couple who goes to lots of hotels in wish we rate it not bad. 7out of 10 . remember its only a three star hotel . The bar was small and ringing the bell for service is not what you really expect . The resturant was very good but a bit pricey for what you got. They need to take little bit notice to the maintaince around the building and detaild they miss.

Room Tip: the coach house

We booked a double room for two nights we are both in our 70s. We arrived to find we had an attic bedroom up two flights of stairs. NO LIFT and no one to help with our cases. In the well of the first flight of stairs were, two mirrors and a large roll of casrpet! the first floor landing was a total mess with folded "Z" beds leaning against the wall complete with quitts folded in them! the furniture in the hallways was old and very tatty and so mismatched it shouted at you. The dining room was in the conservatory and was cold. I asked where the lounge was as we wanted to read our paper and was told they hadn't one except the couple of leather sofas in the area by the bar. To be charged what we were for somewhere so badly decorated and ill equiped I think is a disgrace!

Room Tip: Make sure you are able to climb spiral stairs which are narrow!

Thank you for your recent review and I am sorry you did not fully enjoy your stay with us.
Unfortunately the Hotel does not have a lift and we are unable to add this facility due to it being a listed building. However we always, without exception, offer porterage to all our guests. We have a number of ground floor rooms which had we known your circumstances would have been more than happy to allocate a lower floor room to you.

I do apologise that after making our way up the rather grand main spiral staircase to the first floor you were met with a temporary array of furniture on the spacious first floor landing – we had been waiting for a cupboard to be built, and this entire area has now been beautifully refurbished.

The Vine Restaurant with an upper area and steps down to a conservatory is equipped with extra heating for winter and when needed changes to air-conditioning units in the Summer.
The lounge area provides six settees together with further individual chairs for guests to relax and enjoy the picturesque views across the south facing lawns and the Wiltshire Downs beyond.

We continue to update and refurbish this beautiful Georgian country house always mindful of the expectations of guests.

I do hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to Leigh Park again in the future.

We went with family for a celebration and the evening meal was excellent with good service. Our room was average, small, a bit cold and some lights didn't work. But overall it was OK and would stay again.

The cream tea was excellent, homemade scones,
lovely jam and good tea, absolutely scrumptious. The
downside to this experience was, that there was
nowhere to eat it except in a very small bar. There was
another very small seating area, with lovely views, but with
only a few seats, all of which were occupied.
The bar itself had obviously not been decorated for years
and was in dire need of a makeover. I suspect that the whole
place probably needs a makeover.
The Waiter was very good, but but he would keep hovering and
we weren't sure if he wanted us to order more, or was waiting for
us to go.
We would go back for another cream tea because it was so
delicious and just hope that we could find somewhere else in the
hotel to eat it. It isn't always, just about the food, surroundings are
important as well.

Nice enough hotel, lovely rural location, good car parking. A little bit out of the way for the town but very over priced. Quite hard to find without a sart nav.Has all things you would expect hair dryer etc. Bathrooms very clean.
