We experienced a service, that very much helped us as Danish turists. Idyllic surroundings. Local trains directly heading Bath.
Canals, Narrowboats etc.
The room was tip top, and the english breakfast, top.
The best about our visit? Vanda, Roy and all the other guests, coming from - you name it. We had a fantastic laugh (if you can say so in english).

No complaints about the room-it was lovely, two single beds for the kids in a room off the main, which was two singles pushed together. Odd that the room charge was 80£, yet the kids cost an extra 20£ per night. Why not just advertise the rate as 105£ per night? It was awkward to get there- I wish I had known we could have taken the train to Bradford- that would have cut the cab fare in half.the bus did work out well, but a bit challenging to know which stop to use, as the bus took a different route on the hour vs the half hour. The room was pristinely clean, the breakfast well more than I could eat, and overall a comfortable stay. However. I did get a little tired off being scolded: "don't put your suitcase on the bed, don't hang clothes from the window, how come you didn't eat all your breakfast, if you want something differentfor breakfast, you have to pre-order......" on and on. It was like taking the kids to visit grandma, and having to pay a good price for it. I would recommend this b&b if you are a quiet middle aged or retired couple with your own car and low demands. I certainly liked the owners, and think their establishment is beautiful, and the kids loved seeing the badgers in the yard, but none of us liked being scolded, considering it was on our tab.

Room Tip: All the rooms sound lovely

We were made very welcome throughout our stay. The lovely double room had a superb kingsize bed, pleasant bathroom and private patio. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented. Roy and Vanda were fabulous hosts and struck the right balance between frienliness but were not imposing.

This peaceful B & B is perfect for the Kennet & Avon canal, cycling or walking, and is within easy reach of Bradford On Avon and Bath. We left the car at the B & B and took the bus.which passes close by.

Room Tip: Talk to Roy & Vanda who are very accomodating

Roy greeted us with "you're early" at 2.40 pm - the room was pleasant enough but the double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together- breakfast was basic but nice, however it was between 8 and 8.30am which was slightly earlier than we would have liked - however what we didnt like was the fact that while we were at breakfast, the room was tidied - we found this to be a bit disconcerting and intrusive to be honest as i would rather this was done after we had left for the day - especially as later in the day somebody went into the room again to fold the towels - it made us feel like they were in and out of there anytime they wanted to which really made me feel uneasy. The local pub is more of a restaurant which meant that we ended up spending £7.00 on a cab to get to Bradford on Avon as Roy didnt know the times of the buses due to the bank holidays. Our room was overlooking the garden which was very pretty and full of wildlife which was nice.

My husband and I recently stayed at the this Bed & Breakfast and I can only offer the highest praise and reccommendations. Vanda and Roy were truely welcoming showing us to our room and explaining all about the local area. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden. The bed was huge and really comfortable, the ensuite was spotless as was the rest of the room. Thebreakfast was in my opionion more than substantial, we were offtered a choice of 5 different cereals to start as well as orange juice, the cooked breakfast was really great and with toast to finish we felt ready to face a full day of sight seeing and shopping. The hosts were more than helpful, with a good knowledge of places to visit and which pubs/restaurants offered good value for money.
I wonder if those that have written negative comments were as polite and friendly as they could have been, you may have been paying for your visit, but you are still a guest in another persons home and I believe that you should treat people with respect and courtesy if you want them to treat you the same way!

We stayed at Serendipity for three nights during our holiday. The B&B is fairly near Bath and so good for visiting the City centre. Bradford on Avon is a lovely village which is definitely worth a visit.

Like some others we had a rather strange welcome, however, not rude, it was almost as if the gentleman wasn't used to letting people in and showing them around. We had the room where you could see the Badgers in the back garden and enjoyed watching them each night.

The breakfast was nice although not as generous as in other bed and breakfasts (only one sausage, one slice of bacon etc), however, it was all cooked well and set us up for the day. Our room was clean although the bathroom was not particularly airy and our towels did not dry while we were staying there (this was not helped by them being folded back up on the racks when we'd left them out to dry!).

All in all a good reasonably priced B&B near to Bath.
