“A Treat”

Totally unique and unexpected. You must try it. Great value, even if we only had coffee and cake in the garden.

Odd little place - like stepping back in time ….food is good and well priced and service quick and willing. Small menu but that's really fine !

“A joyous experience”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Mr Salvat is an eccentric gentlemen dressed in C18-style clothing and writes orders with a long quill. He's getting on in age, but has a spring in his step and constantly humming. The indoor table/seating areas are intimate, and the secluded garden is an oasis of tranquillity, despite being on a main road. His own blended tea was very good, but would have preferred it in a china cup rather than big thick mug. My friend's lasagne was very tasty with very lean mince, although rather small, and would have been better with a little salad. Sadly, my potato & leek soup was very powdery and tasteless. However, the atmosphere and his joy was infectious, so more than made up for any shortcomings.

“A taste of eccentric Bradford”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

The food and drinks are fine (from a small menu) and reasonably priced, but the real point of Mr.Salvat's is its eccentricity, from the high backed settles to Mr. Salvat and help in frilly shirts.

“What a lovely little place!”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

This is so different you just have to give a try!

We had a lovely soup here served in a querky environment which has to be seen to be believed. I just wished we lived nearby so that we could go there more often.
