“I did not know what to expect”

This Tithe Barn was an incredible place. The whole principle of tithing is not something everyone knows about in these days but it dates back to Biblical times when a tenth of income was given to the Lord. I was thrilled to see this massive barn where people brought their tithe, or tenth of their produce. The doors are appropriately wide which made unloading easy.

An amazing place which is a walk back into history! Well worth a visit!

“Amazing barn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Whilst it doesn't take a huge amount of time to visit, the Tithe Barn is interesting nonetheless. It's incredibly evocative, plus displays in nearby buildings show what the site used to look like. The Barton Farm area also has craft shops and plenty of things to see and do, plus a country park with walks.

“Wow!”

What a truly magnificent building, like a cathedral, you wouldn't need to spend that long there but it's well worth a visit to see a beautiful piece of history. Lots of little craft shops nearby and a cafe too

“So imposing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

The barn itself is breathtaking - in its dimension and, above all, in the quality of its craftsmanship. The attractive setting and the several small outlets which are nearby enhance it further

“Historic”

Fascinating historic building unlike any I have seen before. Walk along the River Avon from the Town Centre. Be sure to visit the adjacent arts and crafts Centre.
