“Beautiful cottage in a great location”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We spent a week in this beautiful cottage last week (18-25 Jul 14) with our 2 children (ages 4 & 7) and had a fantastic time. I have to say this was the best self-catering experience we have had. Lara's attention to detail and all the additional extras really added to the holiday. The cupcakes & prosecco was such a nice surprise on arrival. Also lovely was the supply of all the basics (tea, sugar, milk, juice, wash-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, the list goes on) so there was no mad dash to the shop when we got there. Also loved the Molton Brown toiletries & dressing gowns, kids dvds, rough guide book of the area etc. Lara thought of everything. We loved the Cath Kidson decor too. The cottage was spotless too. The only reason this review is a 4 instead of 5 is that we found the lack of parking & lack of outside seating/garden area an inconvenience with kids. Having said that I would still highly recommend the cottage to anyone. Bradford-on-
Avon is the perfect location to visit this area.We were glad we didn't stay in Bath esp with kids but it was so accessible anyway by train, car. There were great parks & playgrounds in the town & we loved being near the canal-we rented bikes & canoes. The Canal Tavern opposite Lock Inn did great kids picnic lunches & we loved the Barge Inn canal seating. The Thai Barn was the best food. Also loved the Bridge Tearooms. Was not impressed with the local swimming pool staff&or opening times(one day the kids
pool was only open for 1.5hrs!), luckily the weather was great so it didn't matter. The cottage is within 30 min of Longleat Safari Park & 1 hr of the sea (Weston-sur-Mare). And there was so much more we didnt have time to see so we will definitely be back to this area.

“Exellent, home away from home accommodation”
Reviewed 25 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The cottage was a welcoming sight to arrive in after a long flight and drive. The table was all set for afternoon tea including cup cakes and milk in the fridge. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the centre of town. The cottage had a cosy atmosphere, a real home away from home. Parking not a real hassle, if you are unable to park on the street the railway station is 2 minutes walk where it is cheap parking. There was also free wifi. Would absolutely recommend this cottage to family and friends.

Both ourselves and our young children thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bridge Cottage. Beautifully maintained and the decor was lovely, being welcomed with afternoon tea (even for the baby!) was such a pleasure, thank you. We would highly recommend to anyone...except for the next time we want to book it!

“Brilliant cottage in Bradford-on-Avon”
Reviewed 4 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

From the moment we stepped in to find prosseco in the fridge and cakes on the table, we felt at home. Everything you could possibly require for a self-catering break was provided. There were plenty of interesting, high-quality pubs, restaurants and cafés (special mention for Mr Salvat's coffee shop) very close by if we didn't want to self-cater. We hardly had to use the car as public transport was very good, or you could just walk for miles along the beautiful canal side paths. Barton Country Park was a special delight. Heartily recommended!

Bridge cottage is a delight to stay in. We arrived to find a wonderful afternoon tea waiting for us and also found prossecco chilling in the fridge. The decor and attention to detail is just lovely and the cottage is well equipped with high quality goods.

It is an easy stroll to pubs, restaurants, shops and the railway station. We travelled by train to Bath and would to mend others do the same. It was only a 10 minute journey.

We would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

“Brilliant find!”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Bridge cottage was fantastic! Myself and my two girlfriends booked the cottage for a weekend away from the kids and husbands, and was absolutely perfect. It had the perfect balance of homeliness and luxury, which for the price I wasn't expecting! Not only did we appreciate 'the basics' supplied but we were delighted and very pleasantly surprised by all the extra touches...the Molton Brown toiletries, the White Company towels and robes, the beautiful bed linen, the array of Cath Kidston touches - it all really made our stay extra special. On arrival, after a late train journey, there was even fresh cupcakes awaiting us in the kitchen and a bottle of Prosecco! Needless to say, we dumped our bags and didn't leave the kitchen til bedtime!

Location wise, this cottage couldn't be better for visiting the surrounding areas on the train. Less than a 5 minute walk from the station and with a regular service to Bath, it couldn't be more ideal without being in Bath itself. We did look in Bath but it was sooooo expensive (the cheapest we could find for 3 of us for 2 nights was £500!).

I would highly recommend a stay in Bridge Cottage, I'll definitely be coming back and telling all my friends too!

“Fabulous cottage and warm welcome”
Reviewed 18 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage with our two children. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard with lots of luxury touches while retaining a very traditional character. It is in a very central location in Bradford on Avon great for exploring the shops, river, canal and parks. Would highly recommend!
