We really enjoyed our 2-night stay here. Staff very welcoming, food in the evening and breakfast of a very good quality. Bathroom in room 4 particularly large and lovely which is very useful when two of u are getting ready for a formal event. Very warm room indeed and had to turn off heating eventually but this was mainly due to towel heaters and underfloor heating being so efficient; in winter I imagine this would be a plus! Room amenities were beautiful (fresh loose tea, welcome delicacies and high quality bathroom products rather than the same old chain stuff u can get at even 5 star hotels!) If u don't have transport it is worth noting that it is a fairly steep hill walk down into the town from the location - but this was no problem for us as we had a car. All in all, a very good experience.

We were booked here by a travel agency and were not disappointed! Rosie greeted us and took care of our luggage while we hopped back on the train to go to Bath. When we returned, we settled in and dined downstairs. Thoroughly enjoyed the pub and our room upstairs! Breakfast the next morning was delicious! Best I had while in England!

We booked in to the castle inn for a nights stay as somewhere we could eat in and be fairly near to Bath. It did not disappoint with the highlights being the welcoming and efficient staff, large and comfortable rooms and nice touches including biscuit selection and quality drinks in the rooms. Would recommend the pub as somewhere relaxed and informal and a great place to unwind.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of August. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, Room 1 is huge but has some aircon unit outside making it rather noisy but very comfortable nevertheless.
The breakfasts were first rate, and of particular note, they were always hot, delivered to the table straight from the stove. This makes a perfect start to the day.
The menu for dinner is extensive and easy to find something that will please. It is well priced. A great location for walking round the top of Bradford, including Tory, and very close to beautiful countryside - try visiting Avoncliff or Limpley Stoke.

What a fantastic find. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and we were made to feel at home as soon as setting foot on the premises. We booked into room 4 - wow, beautifully decorated room with an amazing bathroom and views out across Bradford-on-Avon. Exceptional food, both evening dinner and breakfast were superb. (wish we could have stayed longer and sampled more from the menu)

Well positioned for access into Bath.

Thank you Castle Inn for making our short getaway an even more special occassion.

Stayed here on a short break. We were welcomed by the manager, Tori, who rearranged the whole little car park to find space for us to park. Stayed in Room 4, which was very nicely finished, with the most amazing bathroom – roll-top bath and a massive walk-in shower. Bed was comfortable, and the toiletries well chosen. Very relaxing.

The F&B offering was stunning - all home cooked food and local beers, served in wonderful rustic surroundings. Generous portions of both hearty traditional and more adventurous dishes made choosing difficult, but we managed. The breakfasts were fantastic - the full English and the Eggs Royale being particular high points. The bar and restaurant staff were all extremely attentive and helpful, too.

Having originally booked one night, we were so smitten that we extended our stay by a night. The Castle Inn is an ideal base from which to explore Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire, and we were welcomed back at the end of the day like old friends. We will certainly return as soon as possible; my only reservation in recommending this hotel is that it will become too popular and won't be available for us next time!
