Stayed here with my wife for a relaxing couple of days visiting the Cotswolds, including a trip into Bath. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet location with nice grounds.
We booked the hotel on a travelzoo deal, which was an amazing offer, so we did not expect the fantastic level of service that was provided. The staff were all excellent and very friendly and the meals were superb, that includes breakfast and the cream teas!
Would definitely return to this hotel for another stay.

At £99 for a two night stay for two including breakfast and a complimentary bottle of wine we were not expecting a high level of service but we were wrong. The staff were friendly and the room was good with plenty of hot water. The dinner, at £37 for two for two courses plus wine was excellent. The only issue was a particularly viscious speed bump in the drive leading to the hotel. We were not going at a great speed but it could have damaged the bottom of our car. There are plenty of scrapes on the speed bump so it is obviously a problem. The bump should be reduced in height and we have informed the hotel but meanwhile all clients BEWARE!

As with many others on here, we booked the Travelzoo deal (£99 for room, breakfast, afternoon tea, 3 course dinner & wine). It was for our mini-moon and we couldn't have asked for more. We just wanted somewhere to chill & be spoilt where we could have some days out together.

The service from all staff was excellent, our room was really lovely, food was out of this world and it was great for visiting Bath, Lacock and Castle Combe (all of which we highly recommend!)

Will definitely be returning for an anniversary some day :)

Room Tip: We were in the main house. Guessing that rooms in the newer blocks are different so speak to the hot...

We visited on an insanely reasonable package that we found on the Internet (we now know that this was part of the hotel's launch promotion as they change from a conference centre to a full hotel). There was a friendly welcome when we arrived, yummy afternoon tea in the garden, a delicious dinner with a decent bottle of wine, and a tasty breakfast on Sunday morning. And all part of a package that had us pinching ourselves for how little it cost. The hotel is packed with character and the grounds are well worth a stroll. Our room wasn't the height of boutique-hotel chic (we'd just come back from an incredibly stylish Lisbon boutique hotel), but was certainly comfortable and clean. The double bed was a wee bit soft, but in fairness to the team, I think they are in the process of upgrading. Might be worth checking if you love a super-firm bed. At full rate, this would have been a very enjoyable visit; at the promotional rate it was amazing. Well done!

Room Tip: Might be worth asking for one of the more recently upgraded rooms.

we stayed at this hotel recently with a "travel zoo" offer .. free bottle of wine, room, dinner for two, and afternoon tea for £99 couldn't really go wrong. i have to say i wasn't expecting vast amounts with a price like that!

Being an ex- hotel inspector i was extremely pleased with the work that the housekeeping do. FANTASTICALLY CLEAN. i also found the room of a reasonable decor- i have to say it needs updating, for instance the picture frames are just falling apart, but it adds to the ambience. The first night we were served on a very small table, that didn't please me at all and my wife wasn't particularly fussed with it. i also found it very dark. We were served by "claude" who although was very knowledgeable, both on the wine and the menu, his jokes needed to be taken elsewhere. however this was saved on the second night when we were served by "sam harris" and "alice" and a young lady who worked both nights who called herself "agnes"(i think) who were fantastic, that sat us on a table in the corner, lovely big table. i have to say a special congratulations comes from me to both Sam and Alice, They knew what we wanted, and were very knowledgeable, i would go as far as saying that they are two of the most knowledgeable waitresses i have come across in my career (which stretches the past 35 years). you can tell they really enjoy what they do, and it shines through, especially onto me as a customer.

The food was EXCELLENT! well presented and extremely well cooked. the chefs deserve a huge congratulations for the work they do.EXCEPTIONAL. and the breakfast was exceptional, very pleasing to see the care that has gone into the menu.

i have also got to say, the receptionist "sarah" was extremely helpful. always there to help and when she wasn't 100% she asked someone who knew! FANTASTIC!

All in all a fantastic hotel, in an idealistic placement. Thank you all

Room Tip: ask for table 3 at dinner, next to the fire will be lovely in winter time.

Guyers is a charming period Cotswold Hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. We had a two night stay in late September with friends in pleasant, light. clean, comfortable nicely decorated annex rooms. The food was impressive and the service excellent. All the amenities were enjoyable including a game of croquet on the lawn. There were no problems of any sort during our stay and we would go there again.

Room Tip: I usually am a little shy of rooms outside the main building but these were great.

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel to celebrate my birthday. Can't applaud it enough. A lovely hotel, comfortable room, helpful staff, super food. We rate it the best of our recent short breaks in the UK.

Room Tip: We stayed in the coach house which was lovely, clean and comfortable. Lovely white linen comfy bed.
