“CHRISTMAS BREAK”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

Spent a wonderful few days over Christmas, had room in the main house, which was lovely, food was excellent, and staff very nice, good location, not far from Bath, and Lacock (national trust ) just down the road,

Room Tip: room in main house, 15 & 16 are very good

We booked into the Guyers House Hotel for a post Christmas break and it was superb! The beautiful country house which was set in lovely grounds was a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend break. Within easy reach of Bath and the gorgeous villages of Lacock and Box. The hotel was comfortable, classy and the staff honestly couldn't do enough to make our stay a memorable one. The breakfasts were fantastic but the evening meals were outstanding. The menu was imaginative and the presentation and quality superb. Everything was perfectly cooked. The hotel was very well managed, very friendly and accommodating. We had room no 1 which was huge, well appointed with a massive en- suite. Thank you so much to all of the staff, we had a lovely time and will be back.

Room Tip: Room 1 was fabulous, in the main part of the house and overlooked the gardens. Very spacious.

This hotel is a beautiful old country house with superb gardens and lovely food. Our bedroom (9) was under the eaves with original beams and stone mullion windows. Yes it was a bit tired but very clean as was the bathroom. The public areas were comfortable and full of character whilst staff was very helpful.

Guyers house is a wonderful place to escape for a couple of days. It's so peaceful with such beautiful surroundings. We've stayed there twice now and will be going back again soon! The staff are so friendly and helpful and really want you to enjoy your stay there. Food is amazing and very reasonable if you order from the set menu. Lots of choice and lovely wines too :) Location is fab, 20 mins from Bath and lots of little villages nearby worth visiting, Lacock being our favourite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you Guyers :)

Spent a lovely night away at the buyers house hotel. After a tricky issue with the sat nav sending us down a a dead end country lane (lady who gave us directions told us it's a regular occurance so use address not postcode on nav systems,) we arrived. Lovely building, nice welcome and reception and a room upstairs in the new garden house. Room clean and bed very comfortable, dinner in the restaurent was wonderful and again fantastic service and really good food!
Overall a nice break away from the kids and a highly recommended hotel. Only tiny gripe was the shower wasn't especially powerful but a small thing in the context of a great hotel with magnificent dining.

Just returned from 2 enjoyable days in the hotel. We were made very welcome by the staff, who were very polite and helpful. We had 2 excellent meals in the restaurant, and the service was very good. A very good location in the Cotswolds and very close to Bath.

A lovely location in the Cotswolds. The hotel is surrounded by open fields and set in lovely landscaped gardens. Take a moment to walk around the magical gardens and feel like lady of the manor! Even though we had a deal, it felt like we were the only guests there, the service was so good. We stayed in the bridal suite which has a very comfortable 4 poster bed and a massive welcoming and cosy room. The 2 course meal we had was excellent and to be able to retire to the lounge with your drinks after the meal in front of a massive open fire was true luxury. A very good nights sleep, yes there was a little noise from the bathroom which is over the kitchen but it was minimal. The room was very warm though! The breakfast was very well presented and delicious.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 1 is the bridal suite and it is lovely and overlooks a beautiful courtyard.
