What a lovely hotel, beautiful locally quarried stone abounds in all the buildings. Everything about this hotel exudes quality, from the cosy, intimate reception area, to the spacious, elegant dining rooms, and tastefully decorated and furnished lounge. The gardens are similarly well maintained and a delight to stroll through.

The garden rooms where our group stayed were all very good. Good size, generally well decorated and furnished, clean and well appointed. The staff were all very pleasant and polite.

The meals we experienced were certainly a highlight. Breakfast was excellent, everything fresh, excellent service, a very well cooked hot option, and all set in a delightful room. The only blemish was the fresh fruit on our two days, some of it under ripe and the oranges presented as quarters still with their peel on. Almost impossible to consume without squirting juice everywhere or getting very sticky fingers. Why not prepare as peeled and sliced? The evening meal was again of excellent quality. Not the widest of choices, but no doubting the skills of the chef and the care/attention to detail.

So overall a very, very good hotel, ideal for visiting Bath and its surrounds.

We visited the Guyers House in March with some Luxury Hotel Break vouchers bought for us for our silver wedding anniversary. The weekend was helped by the perfect weather and we had a wonderful time. We had room 7 which had lovely views over the garden and was very spacious and comfortable. We slept very well and it was really quiet. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent & again the staff were very attentive. Bath was not far & we went into the town of Corsham which was pretty. Lacock is well worth a visit. I would highly recommend the Guyers House Hotel for a weekend visit & would definitely return.

This is a beautiful building and the gardens look interesting even in winter. When I was there a few minor problems (e.g. the heating was struggling) were completely erased from my mind by the delightful receptionist and the marketing manager, Sian ( or maybe Siobhan) - my taxi did not arrive in the morning, I had to teach at Corsham Court at 10 am and at 9.53, Sian put me in her very cool sports-car and whizzed me to Corsham in record time. Now that's the kind of hotel we like.

We spent a weekend at this hotel. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was of high quality. Beautiful, cosy lounge and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with lovely views out on to the gardens.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are seeking a quiet weekend retreat.

Room Tip: We had a garden room on the ground floor. Ensure you request a double room to avoid being given a tw...

I ate in the restaurant as part of a large party. The food was of very good, country house restaurant quality, with some interesting ideas and twists. Despite the large number (about 40) in our party and the variety of choices available, each course was served promptly. The service was excellent. The remainder of the restaurant was full, mainly with couples and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Arrived, just before 3pm, greeted by very pleasant lady, we then checked in and was given the key to our room 37. On arrival in the room which was ok, we then went to put our clothes away, on opening the wardrobe the handler come off in my hand. Then sat on the bed which was very nice but squeaked every time you moved so in the night it would be very noisy and annoying. So off to reception we went to ask if they could sort the handle and we could change rooms to a non squeaky bed. They didn't have a room available but we persisted and then they found a room in the main house which was very nice.
The evening meal was very good, the portions were of a good size and in very pleasant surroundings, but needed some background music. The night sleep was very good in the comfy bed with no noise at all.
Breakfast was also nice with good portions, but needed background music.
Overall very nice well worth a stay.

Stayed here mid week on a DBB package through living social escapes for my husbands birthday. Hotel and staff lovely as was the food. Stayed in room 7 in the main house, second floor with a lovely bay window over looking the front of the hotel with a large sleigh bed. Had a lovely nights stay and would definitely recommend it. The dinner and breakfast was faultless, we enjoyed the open fire in the lounge after dinner, albeit by ourselves. The only very slight negative would be that it could perhaps do with some piped music in the restaurant as was quite quiet at times. Would love to go back when not raining so that we could enjoy the country walks we had planned.

Room Tip: Loved room 7 in the main house, not huge and the ensuite door wouldn't shut properly but nice bi...
