This is our second visit to this hotel. It is absolutely charming. The staff from the reception to the waiters are so attentive and professional nothing is to much trouble. The food, ambiance, accommodation & setting is first class. I can highly recommend it.

First discovered Guyers House last year and was so impressed . Our second visit confirmed our views that this is a very special hotel. An impressive building set in beautiful grounds. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms in the main house have individual charm and the newer courtyard rooms are delightful. We enjoyed two outstanding evening meals and a leisurely breakfast from from an extensive menu. Definitely one of our top favourite places to stay
Stayed at Guyers which was a lovely country house with rooms in court yard. Reception staff all very helpful.
We had room on bed breakfast and evening meal.via secret escapes. Which we booked on morning of stay. Room was ready on arrival even though it was an hour before check in.Room was clean but could do with a freshen up as looked abit tired. Hotel grounds where very vast and had tennis court and croquet lawn. Also rose garden.which was all very nice.
We walked into Corsham very quaint village with shops pubs and resturant nearest pub was 10 minute walk from hotel.
We had dinner that evening in hotel which was very nice. Doversole main was fab.
However breakfast next morning really let them down. We order 2 full english which you can choose what you want to eat. Also choice of eggs benidict,royal or scrammbled eggs with smoked salmon. Also there was a selection of continental items.
Full english was cold microwave sausage and bacon. Like it was day before or cooked so early that it needed reheating. When you serve a plated breakfast you expect it to be cooked fresh.
Second morning i choose the eggs benidict which to be fair was nice but poached eggs were over cooked so no runny yolk and holindaise and bacon was cold. Full english on second day was much better.
We would reccomend this hotel to others. As we did enjoy our stay. And would return.
A family get together as a party of 6, we couldn't have made a better choice. A great location in a small village full of charm and character and within easy range of Bath. The hotel is excellent with good well equipped rooms and an outstanding restaurant.
Best of all was the quality of service which would not be exceeded in any 5x hotel.
Having received a groupon from family for lunch went to Guyers House - positives - the location is lovely, the food was excellent, however, I am afraid although the staff were very pleasant the service was awful- slow and blundering - getting drinks was a slow process - water didn’t arrive until after the starter was finished - then a waiter asked if we wanted to see the sweet menu -response I would rather have my main course please! Worst of all was the pricing - two glasses of Prosecco and a pint of cider resulted in a bill for £27!! This consisted of a reasonable £4.50 for the cider, £9 per glass of Prosecco !!! ... then a 10% service charge on the bill calculated INCLUDING the groupon amount that had already been paid. So what should have been a low cost pleasant lunch was wasted by poor service and excessive opportunistic pricing - Highway Robbery indeed
