“55a High Street, England is a ludicrous address (TripAdvisor please note)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2012

I have asked TripAdvisor to correct the address of this restaurant four times. As with other types of feedback to TripAdvisor, no response has been forthcoming.

The restaurant is in Corsham, Wiltshire.

We used VLP many times last year (2011) to supply pizzas to around 34 players after rugby matches. The pizzas went down very well and proved very popular.

Personally, I have used the restaurant a number of times, usually by myself, occasionally with family. The pasta paesane (or some such appellation) is my favourite, accompanied by a Peroni.

On a sunny summer's day, with the door open (and with NO music please, or perhaps some quietish jazz - Matthew please note), this is a great location to relax and watch the grandees of Corsham pass. Watch them from the outside seats too if you want.

The photo of the current owner, Matthew, is one of a series taken of the tradesman, shopkeepers and restaurateurs of Corsham in 2012.

“great find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2012

Have just visited Corsham, Wilts with friends. We had a meal in the VLP pizza/pasta restaurant/cafe and were pleasantly surprised. Staff were very courteous and friendly. Food was very good and good prices. A new staff member had omitted something from one of our desserts, this was noticed extremely quickly by another member of staff who came over and apologised and rectified it immediately. We were personally thanked by the manageress as we complimented her on the staff and subsequently left a good tip for the girls who served us. Would strongly recommend and will go back when we are next in the area. The only reason I gave this 4 stars overall and not 5 is that I always think if you give top marks straight away, there is no room to ever strive to improve, however, it is a well deserved 4 stars.

“A little gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2012

We visited this little restaurant on spec and didn't think we would get in as it was a Saturday and they were clearly busy, however they managed to fit the four of us in and were very welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely 3 course meal wine and other drinks and the bill was a tad over £80. Not bad for a very pleasant evening. The staff were very attentive and we would not have guessed that our main waitress was a trainee. I would recommend a visit if you are passing that way and want a value for money italian meal.
